I rented from this company in Feb 2005. In June or July of that year with all the rain we had the city sewer system backed up into the house through the master bedroom toilet. I called them that night when I got home and informed them of the situation at hand and was promptly told that no one was available to come and get the sewage out of my house because they were at another job. I had wood furniture that was ruined and when I explained that it needed to be taken care of they said not till tommorrow, well I had to work and my husband was deployed. When they finally came all they did was dry the carpet and not suck the sewage out of the carpet and they had big blow dryers in the house in which I had to pay the electricity to run these machines for three days. Then they came and rewet the carpet by shampooing and not once did they move any of the furniture all in all two months later when it was only the 3rd of the month I received an eviction notice,,,, so I moved. Then I get a collection notice for a whopping 18,000.00 dollars no judgement or anything. Just another company trying to take advantage of the military. Well BK 7 will get rid of them.

Tenant tells 1/8 of the story

We recommend that all tenants get renter's insurance. The agreement they signed also notes that we are not responsible for their items and they should get renter's insurance. Really? I knew that when I got my first apartment at 19, but I also read my lease agreement before I signed it.

How can we be responsible for acts of God? If a tornado carried off your car, would we be responsible because it was in the driveway? Read your lease.

We take emergency calls 24 hours a day. We take them in order, and get vendors to complete them as soon as their schedules allow. Was the water extraction company supposed to quit the house and leave that person immediately because you called? Wait in line like everyone else.

I challenge this tenant to state the reason why they received an eviction notice.

Please tell the whole story before you ruin a company's good name. We have rented to thousands of people, whom many has returned to rent from us again. We are part of Killeen Chamber of Commerce. Many of our employees are Rotarians, and most of our company is military families. We don't expect everyone to be sunshine and lollipops, but when we make an accusation, we prove it. Can You?

We don't need a judgment to report you to the credit bureau for damage done while you were in possession. We can get one. If this person wants to present their evidence before us, we will humbly review it and go over it with them, and answer all questions.

Your bold statement of "Just another company trying to take advantage of the military" is brash and unfounded. If your allegations are true, and you owe $18,000 to the homeowners for damage you did, reporting us "unjust charges and untimely repairs" will not fill the void of selfishness and irresponsible behavior. It will also not pay the damage you did to the homeowner's house, who is also probably military.

We wait for your rebuttal and PROOF of your allegations.

(Stacey - when trying to legitimately report something, fact or false, don't say things like "Well BK 7 will get rid of them", you show your ignorance and basically take the credibility away from everything that was stated in the afore sentences.)
