My name is Karen. I am writing in for a very dear friend of mine, Desire age 17. She and her grandmother purchased a brand new scooter for $900 from Colorado Cars & Trucks 7-22-04. She was so happy. She saved up a long time to afford this scooter. She had the scooter for a total of 4 days.
The first day (7-22-04) she drove the scooter home then to work. She had to leave the scooter at work over night because it would not start. She got out of work late so she called C.C.T (Colo. cars & trucks) the next day, and told them she was not able to start the scooter, Mr. Jasper Quintana told her he would not be able to get to the scooter for a couple of hours. He eventually came for the scooter. She picked it up the next day. She drove it to school then to her job. She again had to leave it at work over night (7-23-04).
She called the guy again and he told her the same old story that he couldn't pick it up for a couple of hours. She got out of work and we ended up hauling the scooter to C.C.T (7-24-04). We left it there for two days because she couldn't get there. He gave her all kinds of excuses. She told him she didn't want the scooter any more because it was too much of a hassle for her and she bought the new scooter with the intentions of it working flawlessly. She was just not happy with her purchase and she no longer felt comfortable dealing with the people at C.C.T. Jasper Quintana said he did want to refund her money. We do not feel that it is right.
At this point and time C.C.T not only has her money but her scooter as well. She is a 17-year-old girl who has worked very hard and spent her savings on this scooter and she has been taken advantage of. It is our expectation that she should be refunded her $900. Any assistance you can provide will be very much appreciated.
