Columbia House DVD Club fired me for not selling to some guy who just lost his best friend in Iraq, ripoff Internet

I worked for a company that has a contract with Columbia House DVD Club to sell DVD deals to already existing customers. Heres the deal..... for every DVD you buy at regular price, you get another one for free. Anyways, i called someone and half way through my pitch they told me they didnt want to deal with this right now cause he just found out his friend died in Iraq. I gave him my condolences and ended the call.

An hour later, my manager came to me and told me that i was being sent home cause another manager had listened in to the call, and then sent the recording to the Vice President of Columbia House, Gloria, and that they both decided i wasnt trying hard enough and that i shouldve still pushed for the sale, they even told me what DVDs i shoudlve sent to him (The Notebook, Fahrenheit 9/11, and World Trade Center)..and that i was being fired from the Columbia House campaign.

I might be fired completley, i dont know. They said they would call me. Well they still havnt yet. But what kinda message is this? Columbia House has NO RESPECT for the dead and for the grieving of others.

Oh and another thing you Columbia House members might want to know.....our company is located in Canada. Thats right, Columbia House takes away jobs that could be given to you Americans, and outsources them to us in Canada because they can pay us less money.
