I came across this web site thought i would have a look. it is a penny auction website. i proceeded to bid on the free auctions not really thinking that i would win anything as it was probably just there to coax you on tho the actual paid auctions at this stage i had signed up but not given them my card details. next thing the next day i revived an e-mail stating that i had in fact won an i-pod shuffle, i clicked the link and was redirected to the site once again.

I now read that i had to pay 2.00 to the item which i proceeded to do. I then noticed that i had bids in the bid box. so i used them. then i went to see the delivery status on my item they are now calling a gift and i see that they will not sent it with out Because we have a one gift per household policy, you must confirm your identity by sending the following documents as proof: Scanned copy of Credit Card (front and back) Scanned copy of valid ID (passport or driver's license) Scanned copy of signed credit card form.

31/5/12 I contacted them using the chat now and this is our 1st conversation.

Live Chat Service! For me to better assist you, may I have your Ziinga username?

Jacqui: xxxxxx
Raven: May I have your e-mail address?
 Jacqui: xxxxxx
Raven: Thank you for that information.
Raven: How can I help you?
Jacqui: I won and have paid for an i pod shuffle and i am wondering why you need a copy of my passport and
credit card back and front and a verification form need-less to say i did not send them.
Raven: Due to Ziinga's one gift per household policy, users need to confirm their identity by sending
the following documents as proof:
Raven: Scanned copy of Credit Card (front and back)
Raven: Scanned copy of valid ID (passport or driver's license)
Raven: Scanned copy of signed credit card form. Download and fill up the form from this link:
http://www.ziinga.com/uk/pages/creditcard_form
Raven: All required documents have to be submitted to info@ziinga.com.
Jacqui: i am sorry but i will not be sending Ziinga a copy of any of these and would like the money paid for the item refunded. these details are privet and used for fraud and i will be pressing the matter further. i have been watching the auctions since winning the free auction and none have being won so there seams to be something wrorg
here.
 Raven: We respect your decision.
Jacqui: so funds will be refunded and my account deactivated

Raven: A cancellation fee of EUR 31.00applies to all refunds.

Jacqui: Leave the it as it is so but this matter will be reported and looked into by the proper personnel.
Thank you

Raven: Please note that your account is still active and membership fees will be charged.
Raven: Is there anything else I can help you with?
Jacqui: Not at this present time

Raven: I have sent a voluntary unsubscription request to your email address. Please open it and follow the link provided. This will cancel your membership upon the completionof its three-month binding contract. Let me know if you are done so I can recheck your account and cancel the member to charge the cancellation fee.

Jacqui: I do have one last query the item i have purchased will not be sent out unless zinnga receives the documentation and you will not refund the payment

Raven: We will abide by the Terms and Conditions you have agreed to which states that we will refund
fees as long as the user has not used any of the bids or membership benefits. As evaluated, you have used 13 bids. With these, we regret that we cannot process a refund.

Raven:
The conversation came to a stop for some reason. Now i know i did not agree to pay money so i was not paying for a cancellation fee. so i left the situation until notice E67.99 debet out of my account today the 08/6/12 i contact Zinnga back

Jim: How can I help you?
Jacqui: Jim i never agreed to pay E67.99 a month for this site and i was not aware this amount would be deducted from my account now i would like my money refunded as by law a consumer has a 30day cooling of period.
Jim: Upon checking that you have signed up with our platinum membership.
Jim: The Platinum membership gives you exclusive Bid for Free auctions, an additional 10% on all bid package purchases, FREE shipping on all products, 7 free bid added to your account daily and another 8 free bid on each calendar day you log

Jim: The information is stated on the payment page.
Jim: We also do not offer cooling off period.

Jim: Is
there anything else I can help you with?

Jacqui:
that was not made clear and is a form of false advertising which is also against the law. you might not offer it but it is law. i would never have agreed to pay that amount of money and i will be seeking legal advise on this matter if i do not get a full refund and i will report your web site for falsely leading people in to memberships.

Jim: We respect your decision but all the information was given before you can even process the payment.
Jim: Is there anything else I can help you with?

Jacqui: i would like you to pass this matter on to you senior as i am currently discussing the matter with my solicitor

Jim: No worries. I can do that. You can also send us an email@info@ziinga.com.

Jacqui: I intend to thank you

Still confused i do a little research and this is what i have come up with so far.

i have been scammed too it cost me 28 cancellation fee plus they took another 59:99 from my account. i have been in contact with them, they said i had to wait 30 days to get money back, it been 41 now and still no cash. I have been in contact with them again today (9th april, and the reply was its with our billing dept who we have no phone contact with, they will email you when the transfer is complete. All i can say is say goodbye to your money, as they are a rip off scam merchant. ( Make sure you cancel your bank card or the will collect another 59:99 a the end of the month)

Chosen by Voters  Think about it Kevin. They are trying to get your details for Identity fraud. They will empty
your bank account and run up debts with your credit card.
Come on now - have sense.  On ziinga i just won something, will i get it?  OK so i went on
the free bids and i won 60, so i pay 4.09, will i get it? also it says
this: * Included with this payment, you will receive a 7-day Platinum membership for FREE. After the trial expires, normal monthly charges of 59.99 will apply. does this mean that after 7days i will have to keep on paying for something i dont want?? please help

This is a scam, do not pay 4.09 just forget all about it. don't reply at all or they will harass you .................. Ziinga is a SCAM! They sign you up on the pretext of getting an I Pod Shuffle and a 7 day trial membership. You enter in your
credit card details but here is the sting in the tail. They sign you up for a platinum membership without your consent which is fraud and absurd. After all it was supposed to be a trial membership which you could cancel within 7 days
right? Within your account there is no place to update payment information so now they can charge your card for whatever they like and you have a platinum membership that you never consented to! Their auctions are dubious at best. They seem to stay frozen at 1 second for far too long and then they magically get more bids?! I smell admin supported shill bidding here. If you have been conned by these scammers the first thing to do is to contact your bank and get your card stopped and reissued, then they cant milk it for any more money. If you have already been charged for the I Pod or the like file a charge back for non receipt as they use 3D Secure to process payments so they cant get hit
with fraud charge backs (how ironic is that!). If you have been billed for the monthly membership charge them back too for non receipt as well, because you havent actually received anything and they have no signature either. The best
thing is that each charge back costs these fraudsters $25 a hit. If they say about a cancellation fee, they are based in Malta so assuming you dont live in Malta I wouldnt worry about them coming after you for it. This site is a con that needs to be shut down......

A long report i know i am sorry but i have been Nivea and i would just like to get this out there so it may prevent the next person getting scammed.
