Combined Insurance Company A Cult-Like Experience, Don't Waste Your Time Working for these Ingrates! Hazleton Pennsylvania

How do I begin to describe the robbery of my valuable time as a young adult? Not to mention, the liquidation of my own personal savings, and gas and wear and tear on my vehicle just so I could TRY to earn a descent living.

This is a Sales Company led by a group of degenerates in their purest form. It all started with an old friend who thought she would be helping me out by referring me to her regional manager.

As I read in other reports, the interview process was based more on trying to sell me the job, rather than focusing on my qualifications. I was well aware the job was comission only. I was led to believe I could set my own hours but was still expected to produce. I had no problem with that.

My appointments were all set up in the afternoon. Usually in the earlier part of the day I 'd take care of my own personal business, a huge reason I took the job in the first place. This is how it began in mid January of this year.

I got through sales school in Mechanicburg, PA., and even learned some cheers which took me back to the days of elementary school. What a treat! The brainwashing was fun, and I knew in the back of my mind that this dumb sh*t was not going to help me to sell insurance.

However, I started off great, my friend got her 300 dollar gas card for getting me on board, and I was selling this sub-standard supplemental insurance to low-middle class people. They just wanted to protect themselves financially should a catastrophe arise. I worked my tail off for the little income I made, and you are taxed heavily, and hit with chargebacks if someone cancels, and comission denials if you miss a mundane detail on the paper application.

When the new sales model rolled out, the harassment began via my TM and marketing director. Constant text messages and phone calls to my cell and home phone 8 times a day and more to find out what I was doing. This company is managed by some real f*cksticks. They did not care about my recent family hardship of someone close to me being diagnosed with an agreesive form of cancer. They even had the balls to ask a close friend and ex-coworker what hospital he was at so they could see if I was telling the truth. If you are thinking about working for this company take heed to my warning and the many others on this site. To the managers and executives at Combined, take a lesson from your beloved founder Mr. Stone and, "Do the right thing, because it's the right thing to do!" And go f*ck yourselves. I am now with the largest supplemental insurance provider in the world. The grass is greener on the other side!
