Don't work for this company unless you like working 7 days a week, 12 to 18 hours a day. I have never worked for a company that tried to micro-manage its results by holding as many conference calls and endless unpaid meetings which you were expected to drive up to 5 hours each way to attend as they did.
This company, especially in Virginia is run by two of the most incompetent individuals, I have ever worked for, Charlies Wolfe who believes in managing by intimidation and Josh Couch who couldn't manage his way out of a paper bag.
Charlie likes to tell everyone that they aren't good enough to work for him even though they will hire anyone willing to take the job. He also likes to use phrases which make no sense like "get yourself in the catbird-seat", can anyone PLEASE tell me what the heck this is supposed to mean? I have been working on this for months.
Most of the people hired by Josh quit within their 1st two months with company because he would rather talk about how much money there was to be made than actually going out and doing it. His idea of training is lecturing everyone at a daily morning meeting for at least an hour but most of the time it was longer. Another thing Josh likes to do is sit in hotel lobbies and surf the internet since he gets a salary unlike most of the junior employees who need to get out and make sales in order to make a living.
Do yourself and wallet a favor look for another insurance company to work for!!!

I know of everything you speak of. Charlie Wolfe is a first class idiot...im suprised his aging black old heart hasn't done him in yet. 7 days a week, 12 hour days.....you make good money...maybe but if you calculate it hourly it comes to about $2/hour, you can make more efficient money shoveling s**t on the side of the road. Anyway, its been about a year since I worked at Combined and I feel great not working for assholes.
