I was with Combined Insurance of America for the past 2 months. This is their name. They had been chasing me for the past 4 months and finally I decided to give an interview which was so quick and I was curious. That's to good to be true. So fast! They told me that they will have to call me for further instructions to provide information on when and where the training will be.

Basically, it was very easy. First you should know that the training will be held at their office located in Burlington a city in Ontario. Not a bad place for the training! Very nice though. But that's not the thing. You must stay at the hotel for the period that you will be in training (double occupancies by the way) imagine you being in a hotel with a total strange people. It's scary! To make story short, you will spend about 1 month for the training. They will pay you $300 for the week.

You are responsible for your own lunch and dinner. So basically this $300 is worth nothing compared the money you have to put aside for lunch, gas to go back and forth to the Hotel etc. I was attended but curious to know what they have for me. I almost quit within a session because I am LLQP licence in Ontario and have questions about the course. They asked me to leave within this session as they are so incompetent answering questions. I decided to leave but they were able to manage the incident and stop me from leaving and convinced me to stay.

Needless to say, that I finally remained there for a week driving back and forth to the class because I hated double occupancies. And finally I was able to make it through the end at the training. Now it's the time to go to hit the road for business. Combined Insurance is the WORST company I had ever been for my entire life. They are sales pushy pitchers. You are managed by a bunch of incompetents, failure people, 90% of so-called managers have no LLQP licence, no job experience, nothing. They make residual commissions out of every sale you make.

At first they convinced you that there will be no sales to families or friends. But when you are on the field your field managers will like you to go after friends and families. I made 2 sales but both to my friends which I regretted doing today. It was very hard to make it by doing door to door in this economy where people are trying to save instead of spending specially to buy kind of insurance products from a stranger (an unknown company who will put many sales agents approximately in the same area.) You will be competing even with your own Regional Managers or district managers.

It's insane and unfair if you have no door to door experiences. You can expect many backlashes, people will slam their doors on you, and they will usually say NO to your products as they will immediately notice that you represent Combined. This company have no good reputation in Canada. If customer got caught in their sales trap, they finally realize that and cancel. Sooner or later there business will get a serious hit as the government will implement the Do Not Knock List. They will be surprised that their life will end and all of their misleading and lies will go with them. End of my comments.
