It's bad enough that certain channels, basic as well as premium channels, have pixilated or no pictures, or are completely unavailable.
However, calls to customer service provide no help. Most recently, a call on 12/5 resulted in a wait of 17 minutes, only to be automatically disconnected when my turn came up. Using the company's e-mail system was equally fruitless, as I was directed to call the customer service line to provide more information. This morning, customer service reports their computer system is down.
At least one thing has come through on our cable service, though: Comcast's commercials touting their supposedly superior signal compared to satellite dishes.

It sound like you have a problem with the wiring on your house if your channels are pixelating. You need to schedule a service call foro them to come out and fix the problem and measure the signal strength. For an example channel two at your TV should read no lower than (0).

but is it channels that would carry sporting events? I have Comcast of NW Jersey and have had some Mets or Braves games blanked out using this method. Not that I necessarily wanted to watch the game but came across it while surfing. Can't say I've had any other problems. Occasionally, the Weather Channel has some issues but I believe that is on the Weather Channels end and not Comcast.
Certainly wish your problem would happen to me during all the crap infomercials.:)
Just some insight.
