My friend called me in April asking me if I heard of a credit card company who helps re-establish credit called Commercial Health Network. Honestly, I said no.

As she went on and told me a little more about the company, I got suspicious. I asked her if she went through with giving them her account information, she did.

Today, since April, she still has not received any services from Commercail Health Network. They took $299 from her checking account and services rendered was not completed by Commercial Health Network. Commercail Health Network has breached their verbal contract.
I suggested to my friend to call back and ask some more in depth questions. She did. She was told that her credit card would come in the mail and that it took 15 to 20 days to receive it.

It is now June 2, 2004 and she was approved for up to a $2000 credit limit back in April. She was told by the customer service rep that A) she can not talk with a supervisor B) her credit card was shipped via Fed Ex C) So, she asked for a tracking number-- they could not give her one. After that, I asked her to call back Commercial Health Network, but this time tell them you want to record the phone conversation. They refused to talk with her if she recorded their conversation.

I know that my friend lost her money and I feel really bad about it. I suggest the following tips:
If someone calls and asks for your checking or credit account information, ask them to send you their offer in writing. If they say no, they can not for any reason, tell them you have to pass on their offer.

If you do get taken, maybe contating the press would help resolve any problems. Alot of times if you say I'm goning to contact my lawyer, people still don't care. Companies that are fraudulent, do not want bad reviews on air or on paper. Publishing stories on these types of companies is the best defense to preventing further crimes.
