Communications Workers Mastercard/Household Credit ripoff victimized many consumers Salinas California

Several months ago, I had went over my account credit limit. I tried to get it under the limited amount but each month I was charged a fee for being over the balance as well as the huge *FINANCE CHARGES! My minimum due was $82 plus the amount over due,several times I had paid $400 within a 2 month period to get the account under the credit limit. I called the company several times because they were in no way helpiing me get under the credit limit by charging me additional fees plus the *Finance Charges. I felt humiliated to say the least. I have since then got my acct under the credit limit but the finance charges are so huge, I can't seem to get this credit card paid off! I have made my payments on time every month for at least 6 months and always I pay more than the minimum due to try to get this paid off ASAP. January was a hard month for me so when I got the bill, it gave me a Skip-A-Pay option so I took advantage of it due to other financial obligations. When I got the next bill, my balance was $73 more because of the *FINANCE CHARGES! How can these companies get away with charging consumers outrageous Finance Charges?! We can never get caught up if we can't pay double the minimum amount due each month just to cover the *Finance Charges. I don't feel I'm in debt or need debt counseling. I only feel like I can't get this card paid off without paying the Company double each month. I can see why they are so rich by taking advantage of the average consumer! Thank You
