Community Reading Club Of Fitzgerald ripoff Fitzgerald Georgia

In June/July of 2005 I ordered magazines thru this company. In November I receive a call confirming the original order. The person informed me that others had been sold magazines by other companies and that they just wanted to confirm my information.

I noticed on this months credit card bill that the company was double charging me. I called and was informed that I had made a second order. I said this was not true and was told that I could listen to the confirmation tape. As we all know that have dealt this this company, this tape is just that, it does not record this beginning of the conversation. Just what our address is and the total of the price. I asked for a supervisor and got the run around there other than the second order was cancelled.

Being smart, I called my credit card and let them know what was happening. I was told that I could dispute the charges and that if I did not want further charges by this company I could change my number. I chose to follow the advise.

This company should watch what they are doing. If I had received something in the mail letting me know that I had placed a second order I would have stopped this before. I have received nothing on this second order but have been charged. Paperwork is manditory, is it not?
