About 3 to 4 years ago I received a phone call from them selling magazine subscriptions. I agreed and about 2 weeks later I decided I wanted to cancel. I hadn't even received 1 magazine yet and figured I would be able to. Wrong. Whoever I spoke with on the phone informed me I wouldn't be able to cancel because the 1st year was already paid in full. So I told her to cancel the reast of the years (I believe it was a 3 year agreement).

I was given a confirmation code which I held onto for about a year or two, figured I no longer needed and threw away. Also since my initial charge with the company, my debit card that was charged was replaced and had a new number.

Around December of 2006 I started receiving calls from CRC stating that I owed them around $1000!!! I explained to them that I cancelled my membership 3 years ago, which they said wasn't showing up in my account records on their end. They said that they would bring me to collections and have my wages garnished. I told them that they were out of their minds and that it was their fault that they didn't cancel my membership. Needless to say they contacted me several times, leading to me arguing with whoever was on the other line, re-explaining the situation, and pointing out how backwards their company was. I even told them to stop calling me since I already took cancelled this 3 years ago. With every phone call, I ended up getting hung up on.

For about a month after the last conversation I had with one of their reps, I would still get phone calls from them which I let go to voicemail. I tried looking them up online and couldn't find ANYTHING, except for these rip off reports.

Word of advice: dont' deal with this company!!!!

It is against the law for a company to harass you for payment like this company seems to do on a regular basis. If you would like to file a complaint against them you can go to the Federal Trade Commission's website and file one electronically. I hope this helps!!!
