I recently had the misfortune of ordering Hard Drives from these clowns. I placed the order, paid for the order using PayPal (to e-mail payment to) sciencesource777@hotmail.com and seen that they collected the money. However, it was like pulling teeth to get the drives. I e-mailed them several times and finally Bob James came back & informed that they were being shipped the next day by USPS. I finally got them a week and a half later. They drives were packed, unbagged and in packing popcorn loaded with static electricity. The result, BAD HARD DRIVES! (although I believe that they were DOA when they packed them. They made the classic noises of drives that are bad -- some didn't spin up at all). I e-mailed them & informed that they were bad and that they were coming back. I paid for UPS ground to return them. Bob James informed that they would take care of the problem. So, now comes the long wait with no drives and no word from Bob & the gang in Texas. Finally, I e-mailed him one last time and he informed that the drives were as-is.

I went to his website and found the warranty information and e-mailed his own words back. There was no reply, which is where I stand today. Unlike some of his victims that have postings on RIPPOFFREPORT.COM (I commented on one of them), I was able to get my money back. Not from the company, but from my credit card company. These crooks made one mistake (most crooks always do), they had been using PayPal as a means of payment. PayPal, in turn, received payment from my credit card.

Dissatisfied with my purchase of junk (and now no product), I called the credit card company and charged the funds back to PayPal. I certainly hope that these clowns had some money in their PayPal account to cover my refund. Otherwise, PayPal becomes the unsuspecting victims of these idiots as well. I spoke with PayPal personnel about this problem and I referred them to several of the comp-recycle complaints already here at RIPOFFREPORT.COM. Needless to say, comp-recycle, I found out, no longer uses PayPal. So, if anyone out there is contemplating buying parts from this outfit, keep in mind that they only accept money orders and cashier's checks. So, if you don't want to get taken, keep your money and stay away from www.comp-recycle.com!!!
