Rick & Roberta Beckey are con-artists. Rick has been witnessed on multiple occasions committing insurance fraud. He will intentionally damage your roof to fabricate an insurance claim. He will build things into the claim that are not done. He uses cheap sub-standard labor of illegal alients to enhance profit to himself.
Multile independent contractors and subcontractors have claims against him for breach of contract and unpaid balances. The thief won't be in business long so any warranty offered isn't worth the paper it's written on. This 50+ year old conntractor lives and runs his business out of an apartment his wife gets for free for cleaning.
These people are unethical in every way. He'll tell he's honest multiple times but even he doesn't believe that. If he can find a way to screw you he will.

Check out Home Value Restoration on the Minnesota BBB. The BBB contacted Mr. Knutson for fraudulant statements on his website and he ignored them. What a stand up company!!! See attached BBB report

Companion Construction is now stealing from people under a new name. Love My Builder in Plymouth, MN is the exact same ownership and type of work as Companion. This entity was created solely to avoid the debt of Companion Construction. BEWARE of this new company.

I had the pleasure of working with Rick Beckey to re roof my house in winter of 2011. I had an ice dam problem that winter and the company that removed the ice dam informed me of hail damage. I had several bids. I chose Companion Construction. I found Rick to be professional, timely, easy to work with, reliable. He found areas on my roof that had been leaking air due to inadequte underlayment. He worked well with the insurance adjustor to include a proper underlayment. The crew was pleasant to work with and my yard was left spotless. I had a concern after the shingles were layed (they seemed uneven) and Rick assured me that due to the cold temperatures, it would take awhile for the asphalt to soften to become one seamles look. And in spring this year, it did. My roof has been a beautiful addition to my home. I don't have one complaint about working with Rick. Sincerely, Deborah Halverson St. Paul, MN 651-224-8456
