Companion Life and Health INSURANCE? Companion Life Seemed like a scam! Nationwide

 I got a phonecall I believe was MAYBE two minutes after I filled out my information. I originally put in "Obama Care Insurances" on Google since I was seeking medical insurance for my family. First Red flag I got was that they called me quickly after I clicked Submit. She was talking about the different coverages they had then I asked which benefits the plans included, if there was a co-pay, etc. She was explaining and to be honest did not make a lot of sense.

Normally in the past when ive applied for any help from the government at all or atleast medical insurance, they usually ask for income ranges for whomever lives in house hold. ONLY things she asked was Height, Weight, and Date of Birth for each individual.

She placed me on hold and then after about 5minutes she said that my family was approved. That was the second red flag! I mean how did we get approved, by our height and weight??! That defintely did not make any sense.

She then gave us and "enrollment" fee of $155.00 and right after asked me how i would be paying. (Debit/Credit?) I mean really? How am I even supposed to know if this is a legitimate Health insurance?

I then asked her if there was an office for her company that I would be able to go to just to be sure taht it wasnt a scam. She said no everything was done over the phone. So then I realized There was not much I could so I placed her on hold to do a little bit of research. I called the hospital i normally go too; Doctors office I normally would get my check ups when I did have medical Ins., and both said they never even heard of that insurance. Before you know if the woman hung up on me, when I didn't even leave her waiting for 3 minutes!

Please do yourself a favor and DO NOT let them scam you.

Still haven't gotten a phonecall back from them.
