Company Funds, Inc. Company Funds Inc. Government Grant Money is A Scam Las Vegas Nevada

This company is a SCAM! All you need to confirm is Google them and you will see other reports on them. They called and painted a rosy picture of grants in the $300,000 range all for the fee of $6000. $2995 up front and the balance when I get my grant money. They want to ease my fear by providing me with their Nevada business license # 2001319.543 and told me to check up on them. You bet I did.

I went to http://sandgate.co.clark.nv.us/businessLicense/businessSearch/blindex.asp and punched in that #. What I discovered is that they are a brand new business setup in Jan 2009. The sales guy lied to me that they've been in business for over 10 years. I also went to 411.com and superpages.com and looked up their business address and phone no. What I discovered is that they are using a virtual private office location. I found 4 other business using the same address - thats always a dead give away that a business is not really there but using some paid service street address. This means you will never find them in person. I also checked their domain record to see if they are legit.

I went to networksolutions.com search a WHOIS and discovered that the domain companyfunds.com is registered with Godaddy and the owner contact is all blocked by proxy for privacy. Basically if you are a legitimate corporation, your info should be public. Lastly, since they claimed to be a corporation so I sent to the Nevada State website https://esos.state.nv.us/SoSServices/AnonymousAccess/CorpSearch/CorpSearch.aspx to search for the info on who owns the corporation and to see if it has been revoked. The name is there alright and what it tells you is that Company Funds, Inc. and www.companyfunds.com, inc. are owned by 1 man, Kenneth R. Tobin.

All I can say is I am glad I didn't get scammed because I did my background check. I hope this will help anyone else out there when it comes to finding info on any company before plunking down thousands of dollars. The internet is full of free info, you just need to know is where to go get it. So...before you fork over a lot of cash to someone, try 411.com, superpages.com, google, ripoffreport and state government websites. Good luck!
