Compass Bank Charged $228 in NSF fees because security put a hold on my account! Birmingham Alabama

Compass Security put a hold on our account for a payroll check that was deposited and then returned for NSF. On January2 I had deposited and additional $2,500. Eleven debits totaling $498 could not clear because of the hold even though there was $2,500 in the account at the time besides the payroll check. They are charging me $228 in NSF charges even though money was in my account for those debits to clear. I spoke with a customer service person the day the check was returned. She said the account had a hold on it and it was going to incur several NSF charges. She told me she would refund the fees when they hit the account and to call her back when that happened. When I did call back I was not allowed to speak to that person and they informed me they would not refund the fees. We have had many problems with Compass Bank in the past. This time they have gone too far! I have always figured the PIA factor too high in closing my account but I cannot bank with crooks anymore!
