COMPASS BANK Ripoff, horrible customer service, retaliation Phoenix, Arizona

Oh god where to start. First I open Compass account because my companies check were drawn on this bank. I thought it would be easy to get my money faster. WRONG!!!! They will hold your checks for 5-7 days even if the check was written from their bank.

I'm in Tiawan on business for 2 weeks. I deposited checks for $5, 000 and $3,500 on July 1st. It is now July 8th and I have a balance of -$12,345. I have not written a check or used my card in seven days. When I left U.S I had $1,238 in the bank. I pulled out $400 and conveted to new tTaiwan $. So Imagine my surprise when I logged in to find neg. $12,345 as my balance.

Forget trying contact bank after hours or on Weekends. I tried to log in again and try to sort it out but was locked out of account, for what who knows. So I'm an American in Taiwan with no money and no way to find out if someone has accessed my account or stolen my identity. I have read other posts and I'm sure Compass is the worst bank there is today. I have had nsf thrown at me by there strange and unethical accounting. I have had it with them. I am more than mad or pissed off. I'm ready to do something. Maybe I start with a bumper sticker that says "Compass bank Nsf charges $36, hold on paycheck 5-7 working days, walking in and taking out all your money and saying your fired, priceless" Ok maybe that is too long. How about "Compass bank the bank that robs you." Class action soon to follow.
