All I can do is reiterate what the previous posters stated.  This company sells themeselves to you as training you to be an entrepreneur.  That is code for "we tell you we will give you 28% commission but in actuality, if you sell enough for more than $500, you're screwed."

In my first couple of weeks with them, I made a $3000 sale.  Pretty impressive, as they all told me.  28% commission on $3000 is $840.  After spending quite a bit of time with the client (on my own time, as this was after the already absurd hours they expect you to keep), helping him choose products fof his office, I spoke with a coworker who informed me that I would only make $500, as that is the "cap".

After several sales where this was an issue, I became increasingly frustrated.  What was the point in going the extra mile?  I was told that we are not salesmen.  We are learning to be entrepreneurs.  So the money is irrelevant.  Sure, it's irrelevant, because they get to keep it.

On top of this, they do indeed shame you if you "roll a donut", making you feel like an idiot.  Suddenly my huge sales are irrelevant.  Isn't that how abusive relationships work?  You're made to feel so low that you don't leave because you feel you can do no better.

After perusing my paperwork that I signed upon hire, NOWHERE was it written that there is a cap.  They expect me to go door to door on my gas money, putting miles on my car for no pay except commission, and then they want to screw me on the amount of money I should be receiving.

Another amazing "perk" of this company is that they send you  on weeklong "business trips".  Most companies, when you go on a business trip, pay for your food, your hotel room (which you don't share) and your travel.  Competitve Consulting, however, pays for no food and no travel.  They provide one hotel room for 4 -6 guys.  Imagine me  sharing a bed with a big, hairy, sweaty guy who didn't shower after hours of blazing texas heat in a suit.

The frightening thing is that most people who work there buy into what they say and spout off the same rhetoric.  It's like they all drank the kool aid.  And yes, there really are bells and clapping.  We clap in the morning  and ring bells in the evening.  Brainwashing at its finest.

14 hour days with little to no reward.   I'm just glad I came to my senses.
