On 03/31/2011, Pam Wilde of Complete Office Care in Idaho Falls, Id. purchased a used Canon MP600 printer that I had listed on Amazon.com. Before shipping the printer, I used it to print the FedEx shipping label to ship it to her. The printer was then meticulously wrapped, padded and packed with all of the items that were described in the listing. On 04/08/2011, FedEx tracking indicated that the package was delivered and signed for by "PWilde". A perfect transaction start to finish, End of story, right ? Wrong !

On 05/08/2011, I noticed an email from Amazon.com, dated 05/03/2011 advising that a claim had been filed by Pam Wilde for "Item received damaged or not as described" -- Searching through my emails, I found two emails from Pam Wilde ( forwarded through Amazon.com ) dated 05/18/2011 and 05/26/2011. In the emails, Pam claimed that the printer was received damaged and had error code 5110 "the first time it was plugged in" and wanted a full refund. Of course, I knew that the printer was working fine when I shipped it and questioned "Why" she had waited for ten days after receiving the printer to claim that it was damaged. I also asked her to send proof ( dated photos of the printer and the "damage" she was claiming ), her response was simply to restate her claim that it was received damaged and wanted to return the printer for a refund.

I then decided to Google "Complete Office Care" in Idaho Falls, Idaho and found that they actually have a website ... upon visiting their website, the whole deal with Pam Wilde and Complete Office Care wreaked of fraud. Complete Office Care is, of all things, a "Printer Sales and Service" business. I immediatly brought this fact to the attention of Amazon who was ( and still is ) conducting an investigation into the claim.

Complete Office Care had purchased this printer for the purpose of replacing a damaged printer that they have in their store or, they intended to remove parts from the printer I sold to them to repair another printer -- either way, if they were successful in getting a refund, any proceeds from the sale of the printer in their store or repair charges paid by their customer would be 100% profit. One thing they obviously hadn't counted on ( and most people probably don't do this but definitely should ! ) I TOOK DETAILED PHOTOS OF THE PRINTER -- TOP, BOTTOM, ALL COMPARTMENTS OPEN AND CLOSED AND INCLUDED A CLEAR PHOTO OF THE MACHINES SERIAL NUMBER LABEL.

Throughout the mediation process with Amazon, I have raised questions about why a "Printer Sales and Service business would be interested in purchasing a used printer on Amazon, and why the Buyer waited ten days before mentioning anything to anyone about it being "defective on its first use". I have provided some of the detailed photos to Amazon for their review and have requested photos of the "defective" printer from the Buyer -- To date, I have received nothing but repeat statements from Pam Wilde stating that she "will be glad to return the printer for a refund" since it is defective and of no use to them. Still no photos of the printer she wants me to accept for a refund but, she DID provide me with the serial number of the machine she wanted to return -- One problem, the serial number she provided DOES NOT MATCH THE SERIAL NUMBER OF THE PRINTER I SOLD TO THEM ( remember, I have a photo of the serial number label ). Of course, I also passed this information on to Amazon since it is definite, clear proof that Complete Office Care is attempting to defraud me by claiming a refund for a defective / broken printer that they substituting for the perfectly good one I sold them.

ANYONE WHO HAS DONE BUSINESS WITH, IS CONSIDERING DOING BUSINESS WITH OR IS, IN ANY WAY CONCERNED WITH THIS OBVIOUS FRAUD SHOULD BE WARNED TO AVOID ANY DEALINGS WITH THIS BUSINESS !!! THE WHOLE WORLD SHOULD FLOOD THEIR EMAIL ADDRESS AND RING THEIR PHONE / FAX OFF THE HOOK TO TELL THESE SCAMMERS IN IDAHO FALLS, IDAHO EXACTLY WHAT YOU THINK OF THEM. -- PLEASE BE SURE TO PASS THIS ON TO EVERYONE YOU KNOW WHETHER IT AFFECTS THEM OR NOT. IT MAY END UP SAVING SOMEONE ELSE FROM BEING ROBBED BY COMPLETE OFFICE CARE !

IN ADDITION TO THIS POSTING, I WILL BE FILING OFFICIAL REPORTS WITH THE BBB AND DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE FOR IDAHO FALLS, CONTACTING THE INTERNET FRAUD COMPLAINT COMMISSION ( IFCC ) AND WILL REPEAT THIS POST ON ANY OTHER INTERNET BASED CONSUMER REPORTING WEBSITES THAT I CAN FIND.
