Computers Etc ripoff Selling wrong computer parts and hassel getting money returned Brockport New York

Computers Etc in Brockport NY sold me memory for my computer when we asked if it would work in my computer due to it being a different size than what was in our computer (ex. we have 2-512mbs of ram in two slots) they tried to sell us a 1gb stick of ram assuring us that it would work, drove all the way home to find it does not work.

We go back ask for two 512mb sticks of ram,instead of saying we only have one stick of 512mbs of ram they sell us one stick of 512mbs of ram and 2 128mbs of ram.
Come back home say to self duh 4 slots will not hold 5 sticks of ram.

Call them back ask to bring ram back and get money return, while on phone they were suddenly now closed at 7pm even though their store hours are till 9pm. Then they say you cannot have your money back. Next they claim we never explained what we needed it was our fault, when we had explained, called us a liar.

After a yelling match it was well we are closed now and the registers are locked, besides the owners girlfriend isnt around to overide to give your money back. After more yelling we could get our money the next day.

Next day comes guess what the owners girlfriend who has the magic overide code is too busy doing errands, finally shows up 3 hours later. Finally we get credit back on our creditcard but no cash money.

After doing some investigating we found out Computers etc is just a front for a parent company SunnKing who recycles electronics from big companys. So in essence most of what they sell is not new. That is why they did not want to give us our money back and gave the hassel because even though they said the ram was new, it was not new it was recycled.

The message is do not shop here unless you want bad service from an owners girlfriend who knows nothing about computers and also rude employees who try illegal things such as closing the store early to avoid helping and or refunding the consumer and lastly they sell you old junk under the guise that it is new.

There are two other computer stores in Brockport with better service and who are honest. Spread the word Computers etc is fraudulant and just a front for a corperation of computer recyclers.
