Comtec Financial Trust Services Be Aware of this company Windsor Ontario

I got in the mail today a letter from this company. There was no return address. Inside was a letter and a check. The letter stated that I had won a large lump sum and that I needed to call this number and talk to a Mr. Marcus Byron. When I did was then prompted to call another number due to technical difficulty or something like that. When I did the guy told me that all I needed to do was take my check and deposit it into my checking account and then call him back. That he would then give me the tax company that I needed to go to in order to pay my taxes on the money.

I thought at first it was real. Then I came across an article on rip off report. the difference was the bank. when I ran the routing number through an online source it told me the routing number was real.

the more research I done the more I found out that it was a scam. The phone numbers were from a phone company called Fido Solutions and they were prepaid phones. How convenient is that. When I ran the name of the guy that I talked to through yellow pages nothing came up. These people need to be stop before someone takes it serious and cashes the check.
