Conexis Extremely difficult to deal with Dallas Texas
*Consumer Comment: FSA
I opened a flexible spending account with Conexis through my employer. I regret ever doing so. This company is very, very difficult to deal with. They make every single transaction so complicated that you just want to give up.
I have had problems with them from the very beginning. The roadblocks and obstacles they put up are just ridiculous....and this is so that I can use my own money that I paid into the account. They seem to go out of their way to make things as user unfriendly as possible. They are not helpful on the phone. They don't explain anything --they are very rude on the phone. They have me so frustrated that I want to scream.

Welcome to the wonderful world of Government Regulation.
Conexis like other FSA Administrators MUST follow the government requiremnents to make sure that the FSA is being used for FSA Approved medical expenses. It is your money as you say, but it is your money that you got basically "tax free" and a benefit of the FSA. Which is why they have to be very specific
While you don't say what your issues are, I would bet they have to do with providing proof that what you used the FSA to pay for is an eligible expense.
If the merchant who you use your FSA with is an IIAS Certified Merchant, the process of verification is pretty automatic. If it is not, they do require additional documentation. This is generally a statement from the Medical Office showing the procedure, patient, and cost. Possibly the Explanation of Benefits from your regular Insurance. They do not accept just a credit card receipt.
The medical office has most likely delt with Conexis before, so perhaps also give them a call and see what they can give you.
They do have the ability to upload as well as fax the information over.
