I pretty much echo everyone's complaints. I have a rebate for $50 for a 2GB Flash USB drive, and another for $30 for a 1GB SD memory card. I sent in the rebate forms sometime in late Feb, and all they have done is acknowledge receipt of my submittal. I was able to talk to a live person about 2 months ago, and they tried to tell me that my UPC was never received from the box. I had xerox copies of what I had sent them, so I told them I was ready to furnish my evidence that I had fulfilled my requirements. She finally asked me to state the part/model number off the UPC, which I did correctly, so she acknowledge that they would fix the problem.

So here I am in June, and still out $80, and according to the rebate site they are still processing my submittal. Furthermore, the number they have listed on the rebate form and their website is no longer being utilized. It either keeps ringing or gives you the operator message that they cannot connect you at this time. Ironic being that the company name is connect3D.

I second the motion to file complaints with the local institutions like the BBB of San Jose. But, I also think we should all complain to Buy.com whom the rebate was affiliated with, and file so many complaints that they are force to remove any connect3D products from their website. Though, it seems that Buy.com has their own fair share of complaints.

The BBB is pretty good about responding within 30 business days like they promise, and I say drive both of these businesses out of the market by getting local institutions to hound them until they change their practices or close down. Getting the word out to consumers will also benefit our cause.
