After 5 months of complaining about the deplorable and hazzardous condition, we excersised our repair and deduct and Steve Responded with a 3-Day pay or quit. The judge sided with us, found the home was unihabiale and Steve Conrad and Rob Rojas the owner were told to make the nessasary repairs and reduced the rent by half.  Steve smugly told the judge "the repairs will only take a couple of days" This was not the case. 3 months after, the subject property is dtill in disrepair. Every window inthe home has holes in the screens and the windows have no way to lock securly. Our childrens bedroom window can not be locked. Rats and roaches have direct access to the inside of the home and the walls are crumbling from dry rot and mold. I asked for our money back for the rent I paid and we would go on with our lives. Instaed of paying us back, or spending the money on the home, Steve Conrad and Rob Rojas decided it would be cheeper to hire an lawyer and have us moved out. Spending 750.00 VS 17K to fix the home. They wanted us out, slap a bandaide on the problems and rent it out to another couple that " didn't complin so much"

We do not want anything more than our money back, after the actual loss of 46K to date with all the damages from rats.....we felt this was fair. They are fighting this with filingmotions and Demurrer

( DEFINITION OF DEMURRER ....An assertion by the defendant that although the facts alleged by the plaintiff in the complaint may be true, they do not entitle the plaintiff to prevail in the lawsuit.)

SO BASICALLY IT MEANS ( YEAH WE DID IT , SO WHAT... TRY AND MAKE IT STICK)  

Family built the business and made it a San Clemente giant in Realitors, the poor behavior of Steve Conrad and his Brother in law Rob Rojas are embarrasing the great legacy of the oldest realitors in San Clemante. Sad.
