Conseco Finance ripoff Rapid City South Dakota

i am constantly harrassed by this company. my husband had a motorcycle accident last september so he was out of work for about a month and then he was laid off right after christmas for 5 months so the only income coming in was mine.

i tried to pay them every month i could but if i was even 1 week late they were calling and bugging me for the money and what can you do when you cant just wave a magic wand and get it.

when i first got my home my insurance was put in with my first years payment so i didnt have to worry the first year but when it was up my house payment went up 120 dollars more a month for insurance so i went to a local insurance company and got insurance for about 30 dollars a month with a better policy.

since then ive had to fax them proof of insurance about 3 times in two years and thats bull. the letter reads dear valued customer we would like to thank you for allowing us to finance the collateral on the above mentioned account. as you know the terms of your loan agreement require you to maintain property insurance on the collateral until you pay off your loan. our records indicate that we have not received proof of insurance on the property. if we do not receive proof of insurance within 20 days of this letter, we will buy the insurance and charge the cost to you.

if we purchase insurance, we will do so through an affililated insurance agency, and we may ear compensation for placing the insurance, which is included in the cost of coverage. the cost of this insurance may be more expensive than insurance you can purchase on your own,and will provide less protection. the insurance we buy will pay claims to us for physical damage to you property. it may not pay claims made against you. the policy wil not give you any liability insurance coverage and will not meet the requirements of a state's financial responsibily laws.
