Conseco - Green Tree Servicing ripoff Rapid CIty Nationwide

We bought our home in 1996 and put money down. In 1999 we refinanced to lower the interest rate. Now it is eight years later and we've merely paid six thousand toward our loan balance. Where is all our payment money going?

In 2002 we legalized a lease to own with another family to take over the purchase of the home. The "leasees" fell short too much too often on the payments. We gave Green Tree permission to call them regarding their payments. This evolved into releasing personal information about our loan to the leasees rather than just finding out when they were able to make the payment and so on. We only gave permission to call regarding their payments.

The leasees have recently backed out of their agreement and refused to pay for their final payment. Green Tree has not been on our side at all and continues to send all information regarding the home to the leasees rather than us. The only information they were given permission to send was the monthly payment coupon. Now we have resorted to giving the home back to Green Tree. We have been in the home and the leasee's (who were responsible for repairs and upkeep) have trashed the home. There is a lot to be fixed. In fact, the home wasn't even cleaned. We have contracted an attorney to file for civil damages against these people.

We still haven't heard from Green Tree regarding the process of voluntary foreclosure and each time I attempt to call, nobody returns my messages. I just wonder what rights I have against them. There are so many issues. I have requested a payment history so I can see where all our money has been going all these years. It's funny how you can pay a 25,000 dollar car off in four years but a 35,000 dollar home has barely been pay toward after eight years and four hundred dollar payments being made? It'll be interesting to see what the payment report shows, and it will also be interesting if I receive it and not these loser ex-leasees.
