1. CMS Consolidated Media Services:

I have requested to CMS on several occassions by telephone and via mail to cancel my magazine service subscription immediately due to a personal matter (lost of my job). But the company ignored my requests and continued to send me the magazines. And now they want to charge me $200.00 for the magazines and state thats what I owe if I want to cancel.

In addition, they continue to harrass my parents and myself by constantly calling our home and my cell phone every 10 minutes and hanging up the phone, once we pick-up. My parents are too old for this kind of abuse.

2. AT&T Wireless

On June 2003 I contacted AT&T wireless to find out how can I add a temporary phone number to my exsisting wireless account for my parents to use for an emergency.

I informed the representative and specifically told him that the phone was going to be used for only 2 to 3 months at the most. But that I did not want any contracts because I was going to cancel the number once my parents no longer needed the tempoary phone.

The representative never informed me nor did he mention any contract agreement with me. He just added the new number at the lowest cost of $19.99 per my request.

After I requested to cancel the number, now I'm being charged a cancelation fee of $150.00. When I contacted AT&T they told me that I canceled the contract. I informed him that I did not have a contract agreement and asked the AT&T representative to pull up the taped conversation and listen to my original conversation regarding the temporary phone.

The representative informed me that sometimes they don't keep all of the tapes. That was very untrue, how convient that they don't have the taped conversation. AT&T threaten me if I didn't pay the amount they were going to cancel my service and ruin my credit.

That's not far because I never had a contract agreement with them regarding the temporary number that I added.
