Mr. Paul John and his sons Chris & Billy John DBA Consolidated Surplus in Dallas Texas are smooth operating con artist.  They have a great looking business card a shinny new black pickup truck and a main office location that turns out to be a FedEx store.

They showed up to buy a tow motor that was for sale.  Without hesitation they said they would take it and at a good price of $1,400.00. They felt at home and looked around and made offers to buy odd items at really great prices.  'See that old can over there? Want to sell it?  I'll give ya $700.00 for it!!"

I needed to think about the items they wanted to buy and fiqure out how much was a good price to accept.  I was suspicious cause I knew it was too good to be true.

I put on the brakes I told them to call me the next day which they did about 5 times.  Big hurry the semi truck is leaving soon.. got to get back to Texas with the stuff they bought.  Do I want to sell or what?

They made sure that they flashed their wad of money around too.  But that's what folks from Texas do, don't they? I know here in Cleveland when I am having a converstation about whatever I bring out my wad of 100's.

Amazingly Billy and Chris showed up again in person because they wanted to check on some other stuff they thought they could use if I felt I wanted to sell it.  Ya see, they buy items in disrepair in the North truck them back in big trucks to Texas where they have workers fix the stuff up and then they resell in Mexico. What a great business in such a downed economy.   It's like Sanford and Son South of the Border. Oh! I just dated myself, you remember Sandord and Son don't ya?

If you saw on the weather we had a big snow storm in the North and it was bad.  Billy told me they had two semi trucks; one was stuck in the snow somewhere and lucky for them the one that they had with them was the foundry truck.

"Let's just load up the scrap metal today and well come back tomorrow for the towmotor and other stuff when we get the other unstuck". They loaded quickly like theives in the night and gave me $500.00 with a promise to return the next day.

As you know they didn't return nor would they answer my phone calls.  They got about $1800.00 worth of scrap metal for a cheap $500.00. That was the plan from the start.. make outrages offers for multipule items, combined things together for a great lump sum of money to lure me.  (Our deal for all items was $5.500.00.)

Make up some excuse that they have to leave, pay a small amount (not the agreed value of the item because you have a combined total of all items) say that they will be back the next day only never to return as promised.  That's right shame on me for being stupid.  I could not figure out the game until it was too late.  You've been warned.  Learn from my story.
