Contacted by mail by "Consumer First" shortly after requesting more info. via e-mail on credit cards/ renewing credit. Offered a pre-approved platinum card for $5,000. 0%APR 1st 12 mos. and 14.49% after 12 mos. with a fee of $45. or $49. rush delivery.

My check for $49. was cashed on Nov. 6th, 2003. I was initially suspicious but didn't check it out until it was too late. I found this web-site and jenna's entry (hummelstown, pa.)

Address listed was PO Box 15386 Tampa, FL 33684-5386.

Consumer First, Tampa FL Looks Like good news! ..thank you!

Rec'd a check today in the amount of $49. This is the amount of the check I sent them a little less than a month ago for rush delivery.

Admittedly surprised that I did not have to call them a 2nd time to request a refund.

So for now it appears that I will get a refund...

While we may be intentionally mislead it is our responsibility to follow-up on things like these.

Thank you at Rip-Off Report for all of your advice/ assistance, and for those of you who provided me with contact numbers & shared your experience.

POSTED: Tuesday, November 26, 2002

Rec'd my packet today Nov. 26. Inside are things I don't care to purchase. Returned entire contents to sender & purchased Delivery Confirmation from US Post Office. Cost was $5.04 regular mail.

In a week- after the Post Office confirms receipt I will call (813) 879 4752, Consumer First Customer Service for the 2nd time and request a refund.

Consumer First, Tampa, FL, Platinum card scam

AUTHOR: - ()

POSTED: Monday, November 25, 2002

I called 813 879 4752 open 9-6pm ET M-F. The other number I found on this site is (813) 837 6097- no answer at this one.

I Spoke with "Kiana" who claims she has no identification number because she is the only Kiana there. I asked for a refund. She asked me my address and told me when I get a packet that I can return it and then receive a refund. I asked to speak with a supervisor. Her name was "Shawn" number "314".

"Shawn" told me the same thing and that a package was sent to me on the 21st. I asked for a physical address so I could bring the package to them to ensure that they receive it. She told me I was not going to do that. And advised me that if I was worried about them not getting it that I could have the post office confirm delivery.

The post office says that they can indeed confirm delivery to a PO Box. So if and when I get this package I will proceed with that.

To the person behind all of this. I just want you to know, that I am not pursuing you because of the $49... Just know that your days are numbered- you can hide for only so long! What you reap you shall sow. And as for your employees, I challenge you to WALK OUT! And find a decent way to make a living. Good luck to all those who lost their money!
