Consumer Health Benefits Association DISCOUNT COMPANY THAT CLAIMS ITS AN INSURANCE POLICY! TOTAL FRAUD! Cococnut Creek Florida

I am a 24/F who was looking for health insurance online only to recieve a phone call a few days later from this company. They went on and on to talk about how great this PPO is and how its a mircule that everyone has been looking for because they accept pre-existing conditions.

I felt very rushed on the phone and when I asked if I could call back tomorrow to give me time to research the company I told that this was a special being offered only right now and if I hung up I wouldnt be able to get it anymore.

Through out the whole converstation the lady stated that this was an insurance company and only when she started recording and told me to repeat after her did I find out that this was a discount program. I was also in a hurry because I was going into class so she just kept rushing me and being pushy. Said even her mom joined CHBA and loved it.

When I made my first doctors appointment today and called to varify that the doctor used this insurance they said yes. But they knew nothing about the how that doctors office worked. They said that at the time of the visit I might get billed 70% of the bill and might have to pay it up front and if that happens to just send them the bill. I sure dont have 70% of any bill to pay up front, so I had to cancel my dr's appointment.

I think this is a complete fraud. Everyone needs to be careful not to get trapped with fake promises and cheap figures. If it sounds to good to be true that it usually is!
