Convergent Outsourcing Jefferson Capital Zombie Debt FTC Violators Unethical Practices Renton Washington

 Just like everyone else in the millions of reports against this company, I received a letter in the mail from Convergent Outsourcing via Jefferson Capital via Heritage Institute. I recently moved from Florida to Colorado and have only been in CO for a very short time, in fact, I haven't even changed my address yet! The debt states I owe the vocational school $397 but they will settle for $175. This "debt" is 11 years old and was originated when I was 17 years old! I was a minor attending a trade program after high school. My mother had to sign the actual enrollment paperwork as well as the grant paperwork. I attended this program for 1 week and followed all procedures. I will be contacting this company tomorrow, recording the call, educating them of the SOL on the debt (and my age upon acquiring said fraudulent debt) and I will seek counsel immediately if this debt has illegally shown up on my credit report. I have scoured the Internet and found 1000s of complaints against this company. I fully expect to be greeted by a rude and incompetent agent. I will report the results of this call. DO NOT SEND THESE PEOPLE MONEY WITHOUT A DEBT VERIFICATION! They are known for creating false documents, reporting false debts, harassing debtors, using threatening and abusive verbiage, and violating SEVERAL FTC & FDCPA guidelines. After many long years of credit building these types of companies can ruin you and your financial reputationreputation.
