I joined an online business in Feb of 2014. I tried to obtain hosting with Coolhandle, but my bank rejected the attempts, so I obtained hosting with another company. Then , miraculously, somehow a month later CoolHandle accessed my credit card and charged me $262.80 for hosting.

I complained and they said they would issue a refund to my card and that I should wait and the money would be returned in 5-7 days. Not only was the money not returned, but they lied about the attempt to do so. Not to mention that they accessed my credit card illegally. I am pursuing compensation.

I also checked their "emails to me" to discover that they stopped keeping, or erased records after 6/16/14. Their email to me promising a refund was sent on the 18th---2 days later. They have since stopped responding to my emails.

I realize it's a dog-eat-dog world out there, but these guys are absolutely shameless, and have caused me to terminate my relationship with two other previously trusted internet entities due to their association with Coolhandle.

My advice to anyone considering using these scammers for hosting? Don't!

A look at their tactics

Following are the attempts and dates of those attempts made by Coolhandle to access my credit card. Note that they waited one month and 22 days from their initial failed attempts to try to access my card again. This shot is from records at coolhandle's own site.

So, imagine---these people can look at you and say, "Yes! We laid in wait for 53 days to totally screw you!" What balls these people have; what greed; what shameless desperation.

Since my last report I spoke with Coolhandle. I got lip service and the runaround. I sent a copy of an email Adam R sent to me saying Coolhandle issued me a refund. I am waiting for a reply. I will be sure to let you know what he says.

It should be glaringly apparent to anyone reading my report that coolhandle has not denied that they ripped me off. Instead they say they would like to help, but that I do not offer enough information for them to do so. If you read reports about coolhandle from others on this site, you will notice a pattern of behavior from coolhandle similar to the approach they are taking with me. That is that they say they would like to help, but never do.

Adam R sent a message to me on June 18 that a refund had been arranged. I went to their site to check my invoices, and a refund was never even attempted.

Instead of doing good business, these people choose to use their IT abilities to rip off anyone they can. Again, anyone they can. Do not do business with these people

Adam R, you know exactly who this is and what it is about. Your canned response is for the audience, not me. Or have you ripped off so many prople that you can't keep track? Just give back the money that you stole and we'll move on.
