We ordered a Tx History book for 102.37 on 6/23/2017 they said 2 weeks for delivery, as of 7/18/2017 no book has been delivered to my terminally ill father in law!Mark Pusateri and Michelle Haas (Copano Bay Press)have not responded to e-mails,phone calls(goes to straight to voice mail. Theyre using e-mail marketing and theyre web page to lure victims in. According to the Ingleside Chamber of Commerce they are recieving calls from other people who have been ripped off by these two at Copano Bay Press. I am filing a police report and contacted my bank to dispute the transaction.I have also contacted KRIS 6 investigates and Lago in the morning at KKTX 1360 to advise the public to beware these scam artists! Also their physical address 2479 Windy Hill Ingleside Tx 78362 looks like a house on Google Satellite view! Do NOT order from these people at Copano Bay Press! They will steal your money!

Poor customer service doesn't equate to theft

AUTHOR: Copano Bay Press - (United States)

POSTED: Saturday, July 21, 2018

Mr. & Mrs. O'Connell -

Mr. Lackey received his personalized copy of The Ranger Life two days after you filed this report.

It is quite conventional for a business to use marketing and a website to "lure" people. Every business engages in marketing in order to sell products. And yes, some business owners are fortunate enough to office from home when they have the space to devote to that work.

I am deeply sorry about your father/father-in-law and I can understand how that would inspire such an inflammatory report online. I would have been angry myself. I can even understand how that might inspire you to give out my previous home address, as if officing from home were a crime.

Here's what I do not understand: you ordered books from us prior to this transaction and received them. There were no notes in your order to indicate the supremely urgent nature of your gift order, so it was shipped along with other orders placed on 06/24. After defaming a decade-old local business online, updating your report to indicate that the order was received, without the aid of the TV news, the police or even a chargeback, would have been appreciated. But I've basically done that here.

You may call it poor customer service. I would not argue with that. But do not call people thieves so wantonly without the courtesy of recanting that statement when you've received what you paid for.
