I was contacted by Charles Gante of "Cornerstone Marketing Solutions" in Arizona for a home, web-based opportunity.  I noted that he mentioned a different name of business part way through the offer, and called it "Cornerstone Equity".  This con artist was good. Offered web based business websites that could offer financial solutions and services to customers through loan/mortgage refinancing, Loan Audit services, Lending and mediation for credit cards, etc.

When I balked at affordability, high pressured sales tactics began, touting the need for these services for those unfortunate persons in dire straits.  They offered to cut the price of start-up from $500 to $119.95, provided I didn't tell any of my friends how cheap I got it.  When I still declined, stating that I did not know them, had not seen their website or business information, they had me go to my computer to view their site.

I typed in various web addresses that were offered.  None of them actually worked.  I tested my internet access by going several different places, to assure it wasn't my internet acting up.  I could access anything in 2 seconds flat.  I could make up web addresses, and it would immediately go to lists of choices of similar things.  There was nothing wrong with my computer or access.  Their sites just did not work.

They, of course, could not understand why I couldn't access...this had never happened before.  They had me talk to several "technicians".  I went letter by letter, with no result.  They (Dani Gonzalez of customer service, using Brittney Hanson's email address) sent me an email with a link.  I asked who Brittney was, he said the wife of the co-owner of the business.  I tried the link.  Their websites were bogus.  When I said this was bad, and I couldn't do business with websites that didn't work, the salesman came back on.

He was sorry, because this has never happened in all his years...they had spent millions on this software...they take their business seriously, and get their programs and software from the the Dept. of Defense.  When I said I could get other websites just fine, but theirs didn't work, he claimed that it was "amazing" that they have never had this problem with anyone else (insinuating that I was the problem), and that maybe we needed to be speaking with the Dept. of Defense.  Then, he toned down and said that this was unexplainable, that maybe we should get going on the Visa information and then...I didn't let him finish.  I said I didn't think so, since their website doesn't work.  At that point he rudely told me that he wasn't going to waste any more of his time with someone whose computer miraculously couldn't bring up a simple website.

These guys were very good con artists for the 1st 1/2 of the offer.  But, when faced with not getting a client, they slowly and progressively became more aggressive and absurd.  I'm so glad I tried to check out their website!
