Cortese Dodge sold me a brand new 2013 Dodge Avenger that was a dud off the asembly line. I kept this car in good maintenance. The engine blew up after 16 mos. Check engine light is always on. I had a hard time of them honoring the warranty.
Cortese got me into thier sales room with a Chrysler 's rebate bait and switch scam where they promise to give me
3,500 dollars with no down payment to trade the dud that I bought from them in. When I got to the sales room they
wanted 3,000 dollars more from me. I am on a fixed income and they put me 21,000 dollars in debt with a dud new car
and wanted more money from me.
Chrysler Corporation will do nothing for me and Cortese Dodge in Rochester, New York won't either.

My response was based on your statement, “Check engine light is always on.” That is not an indication of a well-maintained vehicle.

Asia Coast, you did't read my report. I had regular schedule maintenance (oil changes) on this car! This was not my first time around the rodeo. This is my seventh car. This car was/is a dud off the assembly line! Chrysler has a big recall of millions of dud cars off the assembly line and have been recently fined for it. Know you fact before you comment. I had complained about the dud to the dealer months before the news of Chrysler being fined happened. Wanda Rochester, N.Y.

You could have requested warranty service from one of the other nine Dodge dealers in the Rochester area.
You failed to mitigate damage by driving the vehicle with the check engine light on. The light was probably an indication of low oil pressure. Now you know.
