I received a pretty pink box with a label that says it came from Cosmetique. I never order cosmetics so I thought maybe it was a sample that they wanted me to try. I didn't open the box but carefully took out the paperwork. Was I surprised to see it's an invoice asking me to pay $9.95. I don't even know what's in the box and I have no intention of opening it. I've tried emailing them but customersupport@cosmetique.com is not a valid email address. I saw that someone else had an 800 # for them but I called it and it's not in service. Has anyone been successful in contacting them and getting their account closed? It just isn't right that the person being ripped off has to go to all this trouble to preserve their credit.

I am the Customer Service Director of Cosmetique. We have been in business for over 30 years with many satisfied members. Recently we have been the victims of internet fraud. We have been receiving orders via the internet which we thought were legitimate orders. We have discovered some of the orders have been placed in the names and addresses of people without their knowledge. We are working very hard to identify the individuals responsible for these fraudulent orders. Cosmetique is very sorry for the inconvenience you have experienced. If you would email or call me and provide the account number on the invoice I will be happy to clear the balance and make sure the account is canceled.
