Costa Mesa Jewelry and Loan

HORRIBLE PLACE! LIAR AND THIEF!!! Avoid, avoid, avoid! They also own one in Orange - same thieves! Beware! LIAR AND THIEF!!!

I like to pop into pawn shops to buy interesting gold jewelry. You never know what you will find. Sami, the owner sold me a small 14k gold and diamond pendant. He tried to charge me over $400 but we agreed on $300. Once I left the store I got it checked and it TURNED OUT TO BE FAKE!!! When I returned to the store he put on some show with a fake machine "testing" the diamond and insisting it was real - even after I had 2 different real jewelers tell me it was totally fake.

THEN he tried to accuse me of switching the tiny stone and although he said he made it himself he didn't know it was fake - but wait, wasn't he insisting it was real?!? What pawn broker wouldn't know a real diamond from a FAKE?!?! I said I wanted my money back and he gave me the run around for weeks, saying he had no money (a pawn broker with no cash?!?!). Then he finally after arguing forever said he would refund the $300 I paid. But....

When I came in as agreed and he tried to say I only paid $200 even though we had just hours before agreed he's refund my $300! He tried to bully me into accepting $200!!!

First he tried to lie and tell me I paid only $200 then he finally said that he was "buying it back and had to make a profit"! What a scene! Toothless Persian con artists screaming and yelling! I finally said that I would just call the police since he was screaming and yelling and BULLYING ME into taking less than I paid when he ripped me off in the first place!

Once I was ready to CALL THE POLICE he changed his tune - evidently he has outstanding warrants or something - he did NOT want the police there. He threw $250 at me. I hope the $50 he made bullying me was worth it. I just left it was so horrible - I was in shock. It is a scummy, filthy place, not sure why I expected a civil normal business transaction. But we are in Costa Mesa, NOT some Tehran rip off market! Now I know.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. Sami Soliman and his brother Naim Soliman are LIARS AND THIEVES!
Sami has opened an additional store in the city of Orange. I will find out the name so you can avoid that one too!
