Costco Wholesale Customer Service? Employee rude to long standing customer on several occasions. Vacaville California
First, let me say that my family has been going to Costco for many many years now. Ever since our Price Club became a Costco. I never had any problems with any of the locations up until the end of last year (2012). There is a custcomer service employee named Nichole at the Vacaville, Ca. location that has been rude to me on several occasions when I have had to return something there or ask a question. I can't remember specific details from past run-ins with her, but she is also unhappy looking and has an attitude that is less than desirable.
This last time I had to deal with her was this past week, Thursday June 13, 2013. I had to return my second Galaxy s3 and mind you this is not my regular Costco, but this is where I originally bought the phone and they require you take the phone back to the original location. (For future reference, if you ever buy a phone at Costco, buy it at the closest location.) After finding out that I was missing a few things (2 leather cases and a usb cable) two other employees at the customer service counter advised me to go ahead and buy the Galaxy s4 and just use the parts from that box to return the previous s3.
The packages with the two phones are not the same, so I couldn't do that and found out I would have to go home to find the missing pieces to return the phone. Before I bought the phone, I said, "Well, you guys are going to give me a cash card and I would prefer to use it to buy the new phone rather than have a cash card after the fact." They told me that they could return the money to the card that originally purchased the phone no problem.
So, after finding out the two phones don't have the same pieces, I went home and came back with the correct pieces for the s3. Then I ran into Nichole. The man from the cell phone counter came over with me and she looks at him and says, "I'm like the sixth person to help her." In a snotty tone like I was just ruining her whole life. When she finished the return she gave me cash back and I told her that two other women had said they could put the money back on the card. She says to me, "Well, I don't know what you think you heard, but you don't know what you're talking about."
I talked to the manager that was on that day and she didn't seem to care at all. I'm sure the next time I go, Nichole will still be working there and just as rude and unhappy as before. Ultimately, I just want to see her behaving better and treating customers with more respect.
