Cottman Transmissions RIPOFF dishonest poor workmanship unreliable BAD cust service LOUSY COMPANY TO DEAL WITH Tucson Arizona

My car was taken to cottmans by dealership for work to be done under my ext warranty. After 1 week of diagnosing the transmission needed to be rebuilt. Cottmans haggled over the price they would be charging, it went from $2800 to $1700 in a matter of hours (nice markup).

Once we came to an agreement luis (owner) assured me i would not be getting 2nd rate service due to price and the work began. I was told it would be ready the following wednesday (1 week), it was not ready until saturday and no attempts were made by shop to inform me. When we went to p/u car it had just been finihsed still on racks and 3 days late.

I drove my car home noticing all my dashlights were flashing and a/c was not working.

I called shop informed Mike of problem, he said bring in monday for check. I did so and 4 hours later of sitting there with my 2 kids they were unable to fix problem and was told to change out ignition switch in dash that was problem the were not able to handle it.

They were not at fault for this issue. I took my car to a mechanic who said he did not agree with there diagnosing because car was fine when i took it in. I then took it back to Cottmans 4 times to have them resolve and the 4th time sitting for another 4 hours with 2 kids they said it is this switch.

I had it changed out and did not solve problem. I took it back to cottmans and they had carf diagnosed by professional who found that when the cottman mechanic pulled by tranny he pulled a groung that caused all the problems, they fixed. and now car is as good as new.

Now Luis (owner) will not pay for the switch and labor costs i incurred due to their poor workmanship and actually admits fault but will not pay because my car took them so much time to fix.I have called several times and gone idnto office he is rude and will not returns calls.

He also believes that "women are harder to sell to but once you get them they will do anything". After hearing that this is who I am dealing with I say take care of your customer and fire your mechanic he sucks, but so do you***
