I bought my home from Robbie Hale Homes in Rockwall, TX on December 4, 2006. I've been in the US Navy for 13 years and was diagnosed with Epilepsy July 24, 2007. I am single and had no one to care for me and was forced to move back to Kentucky with my family. I never missed a payment and did everything I was supposed to. I entered into a short sale/compromise sale March 1, 2008 with my account still being current even after my mortgage payment went up $431 a month (this is also a VA backed loan). After 6 weeks of fighting and lies to both myself and the Realtor I went straight to the VA; they're the ultimate approval authority anyway. When the VA got wind of what was going on they took over and had the sale approved within one working day. Countrywide was more than compliant at that time after I got the VA involved, but after the closing of my house on April 28, 2008 they have refused to pay off the loan even though the buyers lender has already funded the loan. Now, Countrywide has sent me to collections for May's payment and I don't even own the house anymore. Myself, the Title Company and the VA have been trying to reach them being transferred from dept. to dept, promised phone calls never returned and now I'm receiving collection calls. The VA has now sent this matter to a higher chain of command for processing. I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and still waiting for a response. I did everything I was supposed to and do not deserve to be treated this way. I'm a 13 year military (disabled) veteren and believe me if I were physically able to stay in the Navy and own my home in Texas I would be there now. I'm only asking for fair treatment. I have been through so much this year, my whole life has been turned upside down and my seizures are still not under control. I paid my mortgage even thought I was not living in the residence and my credit is Perfect. Now I'm at risk of Countrywide ruining what I've worked so hard to build. This has caused months of undo stress and I believe it has also contributed to me having continuous seizures from having to deal with this mess. I need help. the VA is doing their best and we're getting nowhere.

After my last report I was contacted by Ashley at Countrywide in regard to the Better Business Bureau complaint. She stated that the situation would be resolved and apologized for the inconvenience. 5/22 I spoke to Rachael in the workout department (ext: 2906) at Countrywide explaining that the account had been paid in full from both the buyers lender and the VA and was now closed. I contacted the VA and the Title Company to pass the news. Today, 5/29 I received another phone call; this time from an Appraisal Company in Texas stating that Countrywide requested yet another appraisal yesterday (5/28) after my home was sold and closed 4/28. What else do I have to do to get them to close the loan and stop this mess??? I contacted Countrywide and of course I was given the same load of bull by Michael in the Collections Dept., "this takes Time Ms. Powers, there's no record of an appraisal being ordered, the account is not closed", etc... I asked to speak to a Supervisor immediately and he seemed to be irritated stating the supervisor will tell me the same thing. He suggested my telephone number be removed from the database to prevent future calls. Are you kidding me? Then I would definitely be out of the loop as to how this company continues to screw up! After going back and forth with Michael with no resolution other than removing my telephone number and NO explanation as to why this man from Landsafe Appraisal mysteriously called me in Kentucky about a new appraisal for a home I no longer own, he then transferred me to Ashley at the Coorprate HQ. This is the same Ashley that I spoke to about the BBB complaint. She said that she will contact the department that is supposed to have ordered the appraisal and find out what's going on. I explained to her that she is only one person and although I appreciate what she is doing, this has become past the point of rediculous. She is to call me by close of business today. I have a detailed list of everyone I spoke to; dates, times etc... beginning 3/1/2008 since this all began. I have had nothing but the run around since that time. After I talked to Countrywide, I called the VA. They have been going through this with me from the beginning. My representative, Karen has received the same treatment from Countrywide and still can't believe this is continuing on. Countrywide is trying to foreclose on a home that has been sold and paid off in full. She is notifying her supervisors AGAIN and sending emails to her contacts at Countrywide, most likely with no response. I will give this another couple of days before I go to the media. I don't deserve this and I can't imagine Countrywide doing this to someone else. They need a few lessons in customer service and proper business practices. If anyone else is experiencing these same issues or something similar, please contact me at (((ROR REDACTED))).
