Countrywide Home loans Vs (HOMEOWNER) RE: Home forced into foreclosure without being notified of this process!
What can we do to this loan company for taking advantage of me and there millions of other customers? The federal Government helped them out of a mess, and they are not willing to help there customers out with properly notifying them.
I want Countrywide to apologies to me, reverse the attorney's charges of $2,900.00, and return any other money who they are robbing it from in there client database!

I was hospitalized back in April 2008 for a life threatening illness, lost my Job 4 months prior to that, and not receiving any unemployment because the employer did not pay into the states unemployment.

I was not secure with the amount of money I had left into my banking account, so I contacted Country Home Loans and explained my situation and told them that I was going to be applying for Social Security.

I was able to talk to a nice gentleman at Countrywide, and told him that I don't want to lose my home over this and that if there was some way that I could just Make the interest payments right now till either Social Security Starts, or god willing, my condition get somewhat better where I can at least take a desk job somewhere.

The person on the other end of the line assured me that Countrywide does not want to take my home and that there would be a program available to me where I could just pay interest instead of my complete payment. He took all my information down, and assure me that some one would do a follow up call with me to set up this program and get this all on the right tract.

Being Sick As He**, I did not pay to much attention to the time that went by , which was about 6 weeks later, being almost 2 months now behind on my Mortgage, when I finally heard from Countrywide. It was there Retention Dept.
They said that there was a program called HOPE, and I was to write them a letter, explaining, what was the reason I was behind on my payments? I needed to write this letter within 48 hrs, and fax it to there department, and they would make sure that I got to the right individuals.

I typed my letter to the HOPE department and faxed it just as I was suppose to do, I put in there just every thing that I have stated so far in all the above paragraphs. A month went by, now being 3 months behind on payments, I was contacted by a social worker in the Retention Dept. that handles these kinds of cases, Mind you, and this was an employee of Country Wide loans.

This employees Name from the retention dept was SHANNON SMITH, and the reason why I am including her name along with another name I will mention later, will make sense to you when I am done filing this complaint. This may have been her first attempt, she called my phone number without leaving the company she was with, so not knowing who she was, and getting so many calls from telemarketers, I did not call her back right away.

On her 2nd call to me, 2 weeks later, she left a message, with what company she represented, along with her name and number, and an extension to her direct line. I returned the call, not getting her, but another employee from that department, he said that Mrs. Shannon Smith was out of the office, and she was my case worker, and only she could talk to me. I left my name and number, and waited for a return call.

On Month 4 and a half of my loan not being paid, I finally got a return call from Shannon Smith, case worker in the retention department of Countrywide Home Loans, Mine you, it was 2 week ago I called and got another worker on the phone telling me she was not in the office, and SHE was the only one I could talk to regarding my situation.

Mrs. Shannon Smith interviewed me on the phone asking why I was behind on my payments. I explained everything to her, she then asked if I was receiving any and Social security payments at this time, or, if I was now working again? I stated that I was denied S.S. Because I didn't meet there standards of being fully disabled, and that I was filing a 2nd decision review with S.S. and I was not working at this time. She asked if there was any job lined up for me in the near future, I told her that I have my application out at 100's of places, but no concrete jobs lined up at this time. She stated that without having an income coming in, or no job at this time, that my case would have to be closed, but if I do get a job, I was to call a number that she provided to me at the end of our conversation.

Month 5 and 3 days went by, and I was so proud to call Countrywide to tell them that I have started a new job, and my employer was going to give me a cash advance to help me get a little ahead, pay some bills, by food, start making payment towards my mortgage, ect. My monthly payment that I pay towards my loan a month are $540.00, I paid my own Insurance and taxes, so I did not have to pay countrywide extra money a month for these 2 things. I was all prepared to make 2 payments, to get me only 3 month behind, and make double payments each month, to get me current with my loan.

I dialed Countrywide's number, was instructed to put my loan number down, and then I heard FORCLOSURE DEPARTMENT will be with you shortly. My heart dropped down to my feet. When I was finally assisted by the person who answered the phone at countrywide, I asked them what is going on, I was never told that my loan has now been turned over to the foreclosure dept, and that I was working now, and I could make a payment towards my loan. I was in shock as I talked to this woman on the other line. I could not believe what I was hearing. She told me that there now is other charges that I would have to pay if I want my loan taken off of the foreclosure list, which were the attorneys fees of what she told me would be $2900.00, but not to worry because they have a new program where you can take a loan out against your current loan, IF APPROVED, and she would send all my information to the right hand to start this loan process.

I asked her too many times to list, WHY WAS I NOT TOLD MY LOAN WOULD BE PUT INTO FORCLOSURE? Why, was the person to whom I was working with (Shannon Smith) not telling me that they were going to put my loan into foreclosure? She had nothing to reply except to say, you need to wait for us to call you back after the loan department looks over your application to be approved for a loan to repay back the money you owe, PLUS, now, addional attorney fees.

I was not going to fall into there crack again, waiting to hear from them
I called Mrs. Shannon Smith right away, and was able to talk to her right away. I asked her why she did not tell me that they were going to put my loan into foreclosure. She stated over and over to me that she did not know they were going to do this to me, and she would give me a number to a Supervisor at Countrywide that I could talk to.

I called the Supervisor that she had me call; her name was Mrs. Laura McCenna ((866-387-2855Ex.3154) not an understanding person at all. She does her job good, For Countrywide that is; she makes them rich and has no clue when it comes to customer service. I explained every thing to here. She said let me check my records to see what all is going on. When she finally got back on the phone, she had explained that Countrywide reps were trying to contact me, and that they had left messages telling me to return there calls. I asked her what number they were calling because after I had talked to Shannon smith, I did not receive one phone call from Countrywide.

She repeated my number to me, and I told her that's my number, but that I did not get one call to return. She stated that her people left messages on my answering machine. I told her if I got a message to call countrywide, I would have called them back, she stated arguing with me saying do you thing my people a lying about leaving you a message? And I said they must be because I will play all my messages back to you and if there is a message from one of your people, I will owe you an apology.

I was getting no where with her. I asked her, now what's next to get me out of this mess?
She said that I would have to agree to pay back the past due amount that I owe, pay current mortgage payments and all the attorneys' fees for the starting of the foreclosure, and if I did not agree to there terms, that my home would go into the full foreclose process. I asked her, what fee could the attorneys possible come up that was just started 3 days ago? I piece of paper signed is going to cost me $2,900.00? She kept on telling me she understands my anger, and I kept telling her, know you don't because if you did, I would not being forced into paying my past due, current payments along with some bull sh** attorneys fees that should not have gone to this extreme in the first place, at your terms.

She said take it, or leave it. So I had to agree to go over to my nearest western union office within the hour, send them $1051.00 now, and then on the 17th of every month, agree to send $1,154.71 for the next 7 months. Before the call was finished, I asked her for the attorney's number who started my home foreclosure. She gave that Number to me.

I called Blommer and Petterman (262-790-5719) the attorney for Countrywide that handles the foreclosure in the Midwest. I gave them my name and loan number, and the attorney there said they were just contacted by Countrywide in regards to my loan. I asked him what could possible cost me $2,900.00 to start the foreclosure process. He stated it was a set price, but it would be pro-rated for me because the process just started.

I told him that Countrywide had no right in sending my home into foreclosure with out notifying me first, I explained the entire situation to him, he was sympathetic with me, he asked who the person was at Countrywide that gave me Phone number, I stated Mrs. Laura McCenna, He stated, That's our contact we work with at Countryhome loans, and went on to explain that I was not the only one who has called him with the same situation that Countrywide has done this to. He told me that there was something that I could do, but that I would need to hire an attorney of my own to fight them for this. He would not be able to do anything because he is hired by Countrywide, not me.

I have so far made the 1st and 2nd payment in regards to the pay back agreement that I was forced into, but trying to make monthly payments of over $1,100.00 plus taxes and insurance has forced me to barrow money from others just to make my monthly payments. I was charge $2,900.00 from Countrywide for foreclosure proceedings that I was not told at all would go this far, and I am furious and would like something done on the federal level to Countrywide for doing this to me and all the others out there.

The federal government got there a*s out of hot water, and they are taking advantage of me and all of there other customers.

AUTHOR: Bill from pewaukee, wi - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, January 08, 2009

This person works in the foreclosure Dept. for Countrywide Home loans, She is a Supervisor and very good at her job! (FOR COUNTRYWIDE THAT IS) she does not care about you, your situation, or even care that she places your home into foreclosure with out even notifying you first BY THE PHONE OR EVEN BY MAIL. Im sure this person makes a 6 figure income and only care about herself, this is why she is high on the ladder at Countrywide. I hope she get knock off of the ladder some day, and know how it feels to literly get back what she has done to me and Im am sure thousands of other unhappy Countrywide Home Loan Customers, AND GET SCREEWED OUT OF HER LIFE TIME DREAM (HER HOME)
