I hired Countrywide for moving my household and car from the US to Europe. My contact person was Alon Harach, the owner or upper manager of Countrywide. Alon was very helpful and communicative until I had signed the contract. The moving day went smooth. The only oddity was that they showed up with a Uhaul truck not their own company truck.

Real problems started when we were already in Europe waiting for the container to arrive. The duration of the move via ship to European port and via truck to destination had been stated to be 6 weeks. In the end it took more that 4 months for the stuff to arrive. During this time Alon would not respond to my emails and calls for weeks. later on he excused himself like this: I was on the road with a moving truck and got caught in a snow storm.

When the stuff finally arrived one important item was missing, which is a voltage converter (even in Europe half of my household is still on US voltage). Countrywide had forgotten to put the converter in the container before it went on the ship.

After another 2 emails and 4 phone calls from my side Alon Harach responded by email (1 week later) "Im happy to hear that youve received your shipment. Ill find out where is that box and email you in a day or two. If its here I will FedEx to you." This was June 26.

So I asked for the tracking number because we need some 110V electricity here. Many calls and emails from me, and no response again for days. Today finally the reply with a tracking number for the US postal service, no express.
Do you know how long a 40 lbs priority mail package takes to Europe? Weeks.

Do not allow this guy to lure you with his daily sales calls promising you all kinds of things. He is very very cheap, and he lies.
