Ok, well I had purchased a used car with my husband through a used car dealership in Colton, Ca. They had seemed pretty cool seeing as we didn't have to purchase the car with a valid driver's license. For about a full year of paying the montly payments to County Financial Services, we began to have financial difficulties. My husband lost his job and I was just barely able to make bills. So, there was this one month that my husband and I were late about a week on a payment and the phone rings. It was from a blocked number and a hispanic man began to ask for my husband. I asked him who he was and he told me. He then told me that he wanted to talk to my husband about the money he owes them. He then threatened to come and repo the car... so I told him to do it. The next day my husband called them back and told off some lady on the phone for the things that this man had said to me the day before. They told him all he had to do was send the money western union and there would be no problem. So, the next day I sent a check and the day after that, I get a call about the money my husband owes them. I let them know the check was in the mail, and the man very rudely said," well, when it gets here im gonna throw it away in the trash. Then you will have to deal with more charges and we will come get the car." He refused to accept my money by check and wanted the money sent that day by western union. So, I sent the money as they asked and nicely asked them to return my check to me when it gets there. I was told by 3 people that they would. But go figure, i still haven't received my check back.

Now, the other problem that we are currently having is with a deferred payment. The price we were told 3 different times, by 3 different operators was $25. So, the day that I call to actually defer the payment I speak with the "manager" she informed me that it was $71.75 to defer a payment one month and you can only do this once a year. I even caught one of the reps in the middle of a lie. I got on the phone with her and she said the reason the deferment was that high was from over due late fees. Then I informed her I haven't any late fees that weren't paid. She then put me on hold to talk to the lady I just talked to and got the story straight. That because my account number started with a 10, that my fee was $71.75. Apparently different car dealerships affect the prices.... I don't get it. So, now after I western unioned the money to them, I am now receiving notices in the mail saying that my account is over due by 13 days, oh wait now the other letter says 20 days. So, even though I have all proof to show that I dont owe them the money they say I do, I'm still getting screwed. I have yet to talk to a person who works there cause I guess they decided to close an hour early on Friday the 14th of March.

I came online and decided to look them up for another number, if they had one. Instead I find a whole list of people that are having serious problems with this company. So, now I have to keep my eye open at night to make sure no one is stealing my car.

What you Need to Do

AUTHOR: Upuia - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Saturday, March 22, 2008

Hi,

I too was a victim of this so called Company called County Financial Services.
They hurt my credit really bad by reporting to the credit bureaus stating that i missed payments 90 days, 60 days, 30 days and so on. So just be aware of that they are quick to report you. They did the same thing to me they keep harrassing me and calling me on an unknown number and sending me notices. I have never seen a company so incompetent, rude and most of all fraud is the main word for them. I bought a vehicle with them back in 05 and some towing company towed my vehicle when i was deployed overseas. The bank was my only hope of getting my car out since they were the only ones that knows about the situation but they failed to live up to their words. Make the long story short they tried to screw me over and i ended up screwing them over. I am already out of the military due to my enlistment contract expired and they send me notices of legal actions against me i told them that i have a lawyer and i am going to file for BANKRUPTCY due to me not being able to make payments. Keep all the records of phone calls they make, do some more research about them on the internet, save up all the receipts and letters or checks you made to them, keep all their harrassment letters and the bills they sent you, make sure you have your contract with you and review it cause i read up on a customer's story once that they breeched his contract so make sure that the amount you owe and you signed for is the same. Every time you talk to a representative write down their names, full name, time and dates that you spoke with them. The more information and hard evidence you have against them the better it is. I was supposed to pay 3,000 dollars left and i know that i have no other way of finishing this payment so i told them i am filing for bankruptcy and i talked buisness. You have to be smart about it. I made an offer or settlement with them that i can afford to pay off the vehicle. Dont let them change your mind. I ended up paying 1000 for the vehicle to pay it off. Before you pay it off get a settlement letter in that case you can prove that you did pay it off and keep a copy of your money order or payment receipt with the letter and when you are done paying it mail it off to the bureaus and make sure that you have copies of everything. When you have all of it they cannot touch you. Write the Better Buisness Bureau or the FTC, put it in the paper if you have to. Let People know that this buisness is a very horrible and terrible buisness. After i threatened them i kept all my documents i did the same thing they did to me i harrassed them to mail me documents and payment history and when i paid off the vehicle i told them to mail me a payment sheet saying that the balance is zero and that it is paid off. Keep calling them and make sure that you write the persons name you talked to down so when you call the next day they wont make you out th be the stupid person. Hope this helps you cause my research helped me and when i paid it off, a week to 2 later they send me the title to the vehicle that i paid for and i dont own anymore but in the end i was the WINNER... You can do it its all about researching. Hope this helps...

valerie your not alone

dear valerie,

Yes!! you do need to sleep with one eye open, even though you owe them nothing, they will harass you non-stop. we have also received the same letters the funny thing was that they all had the same date on them and that date was from before we even had the car, and no matter how many times you call all you'll ever get is the run around, and lie after lie, and when you think your talking to a manager your probly not!! they play a lot of games, you just have to make notes of who you talked to and the date and time, thats what saved us was having a great timeline, they came and took our car just a few days after they told us that the next payment we would make would take our names off the repo list.

well nothing like that happened! a man came around midnight and we barely noticed , or we would have woken up to no vehicle, the hard part is that they will do it and theres nothing you can do, the police cant help, and they hire outside repo guys so the ones that come to get the car will only no as much about them as you do( or so they say) my advice to you is not to ever wire them money, there is a reason they want you to do that!

these are the most dishonest people you'll ever encounter. They have told me to take my pills, called me filthy names, threatened me and play a great game of "pass the buck". we had to physically drive 300 miles to anaheim to find them because "county financial services" is a ficticious business name they opperate under, it took a lot of detective work on my part to find them.
so heres a heads up for you,:

there business license is under AUTOMOTIVE FUNDING GROUP it is registered to a man named MITCH LEYTON and there actual adress in 5255 E. HUNTER AVE. ANAHEIM, CA they do have a new C.E.O. his name is MICHAEL MCROBERTS and there manager is a guy named CARLOS NOVAS,
but if you ask to talk to him it prolly won't happen because everyone you talk to there knows everything and theres no reason for you to talk to anyone else!! we currently in the middle of a law suit with them and hope to finally resolve everything on april 25.

if you have any questions or need some more advice id be happy to help anytime, these people are croks and need to be stopped! make sure you save everything you get and write the date you received it, trust me things will start not adding up(and notice if the letters have a postmark, ours didn't), and it wouldnt hurt to record your phone calls, the device you hook to your phone is cheap and it's worth it, they tell you they record there phone calls but they don't, however they do make notes on your account that are nothing close to what actually goes on!

GOOD LUCK AND HANG IN THERE
