Our sales person David didn't keep his words about the price he promised. The cash price promised was $18500.
On the phone he clearly mentioned that we couldn't get the $500 new graduate rebate but once we were there, he changed to that price is with that $500 rebate. So either we have to get the finance from Nissan or pay extra $500. We ended up getting a loan which we didn't want!

He mentioned that there are a few add-ons such as floor mats and tinted glasses for the extra $744 added to the price but once we were there, no mats. $300 for the floor mats and trunk carpet or $200 for the floor mats. So he just took us for a ride in every step he can.

Financing guy just wanted us to sign the paper and get us out of there. He didn't explain anything about the extended warranty. He didn't even give us any time to go over the paper. He just kept saying this and this, sign here and here!

David said the delivery guy will go over the features and show you how to operate everything in the car. He just asked to go round the car and make sure there is no dent or scratch to report and then sign the paper with the complete list of items which we signed but he never went over with us.

We received a thanking email from David asking us to rate him and Courtesy Nissan "Excellent" and if we have any concerns, email them to Christina, customer service. So we wrote an email to Christina. Guess what, the name is Courtesy, but they didn't even have a courtesy to send a reply to that email. Forget about doing anything about the the points we wrote to her!

Name doesn't make one courtious, as the staff would! In this case, none of the staff in any one of the departments have seem courteous for sure!

Christina called and made an appointment to call us in the evening at 8pm with sales manager. No one called. I called and left a message that how come no one called? I didn't receive any reply through phone call or email!

They should spend more time with the customer rather than emphasing making them "excellent"!

Where Were You When This Transaction Was Done?

AUTHOR: Jim - (USA)

POSTED: Monday, February 28, 2011

1.  Your direct quote:  "We ended up getting a loan which we didn't want!"  Why?  If that was not the financing you wanted, then you TELL THEM!  If need be you TELL THEM if you don't get the financing you want, THE DEAL'S OFF!  How hard is that?

2.  You stated, "$300 for the floor mats and trunk carpet or $200 for the floor mats."  When was the last time you went to Walmart and found floor mats $200-$300?  Then you have the audacity to say, "So he just took us for a ride in every step he can."  Again, why did you accept this?  Why did you not say, "I don't want them!"?  Then you add, "So he just took us for a ride in every step he can."  A more accurate statement would be, "We allowed him to take us for a ride because we didn't stand up for ourselves."

3.  About financing you said, "He didn't even give us the time to go over the paper.  He just kept saying this and this, sign here and here".  Why does he need to give you time to do anything?  You are signing a legally enforceable contract with terms and conditions affecting you, your life and your finances.  The finance guy doesn't need to give you any time...you need to TAKE the time to READ what you are signing BEFORE you sign it!

I'm picking on you because you need it.  Do you know the exact nature of the relationship between you and the car dealer?  Apparently not.  The car dealer NEEDS YOU to buy the car and make the profit.  You DON'T NEED THEM!  Do you fully understand that???  This crap of cowering in front of a car dealer, playing doormat, sucker or chump is pure BS!  There's enough fraud and deception in the Sleazy American Car Business for every man, woman and child in this world.  That's why we all need to understand the dealer needs us, we sure as hell don't need them.  When they do something you don't like or want then YOU hold all the power...you can refuse to be treated like horse manure and walk out.  Somehow during this transaction you gave them the impression you were willing to play doormat.  They took that and ran.
