Came into law office driving 50 miles to get free assistance for my home mortgage to prevent foreclosure, which was promised over the phone via an agent from company as this was a Non-Profit. When I arrived I was told that I needed to provide 1500$ to get them to send in a new packet to lender even though I already was in the process of getting a modification with underwriter at bank and was working with the lender and wanted to know more about Chap 13 and speak to a lawyer about lawsuit if I had a problem with getting the approval with bank to modify.

I was not allowed to speak with a lawyer had a (customer service) person ask me questions and photo copy my paperwork.  I fired them 4 days later for not sending overnight package, not responding to my phone calls, and overall poor customer service. They promised  to overnight a package to send to lender which never arrived, and not providing tracking information they refused to provide a refund check. I have called every week leaving messages waiting for them to respond and provide me my check so I could hire a real lawyer to help me.
