My former employer has reported to DAC services about a couple of accidents that happened using a spotter yard dog, which is a non-licensed vehicle. In my position as a spotter, I moved 100+ semi-trailers per day, all the while getting calls from up to eight separate individuals to move even more trailers. This was a highly congested parking lot I was moving trailers in with frequent inbound, outbound, and pedestrian traffic. One of the accidents was due to another spotter not securing a trailer door, which is something impossible to see while in a spotter. The other accident occurred while coming around a corner, and the other spotter failed to yield, which should have been noted as his fault. I took full blame for this accident, but now regret not stating what "really happened". These accidents also were on company property. I have been driving tractor trailer for 6+ years. My current driving record is clean. Due to this employment report, I have been unable to obtain employment as a driver. I have had two separate job offers from two companies, only to be denied when they received my DAC report, which shows these two incidents as "accidents". My MVR is completely clean, and I'm unable to comprehend how they can count against me in searching for employment, as I stated above, they occurred in an unlicensed vehicle on company (private) property. I now feel that I am "unemployable" in the tractor trailor world due to this negative report.

First of all, CPC Logistics has no say so in whether or not the clients they provide drivers for choose to install security cameras on their premises. It is very irresponsible to accuse CPC Logistics of something they have no control over. CPC provides drivers and hostlers to outside clients. Period. How the clients choose to monitor their property is up to them, and CPC has no input or responsibility in regards to that.
As for the original poster, CPC is required by law to report ALL DOT and non-DOT accidents had by any and all employees, whether you are a Class A driver or a yard hostler with a Class C license. It is a DOT regulation for CPC to report these accidents to DAC, whether the accidents take place on the public streets or in a private yard. You might not like it, but it is a DOT requirement, and CPC could lose their business license if they failed to comply with all federal DOT regulations.
As for not stating what "really happened", all drivers are given the opportunity to submit a rebuttal for any accident they have had that has been deemed preventable. If you chose not to take that opportunity, then you have nobody to blame but yourself.

CPC logistics have cameras in all there facilities and trailer and D. C. Centers. Security can get the footage from there files, and you may be able to take this information to the local police station. Always have the police respond to your location of any kind of accident, truck drivers should always have a camera available, cover yourself. Also get a copy of the report from the regional manager, who is usually on site of the DC Center.
