DO NOT TRUST CRATER LAKE FORD!!!

This place is an absolute scam. I was driving my Ford Expedition while on my way to Medford when my check engine light came on and it started to chug slightly, so I took it to Crater Lake Ford to have them look at it. I've already had one bad situation with these guys once before, but the general manager Michael W Frame, Jr. tried to make it right and asked for me to give them a second chance. Well, I gave them a 2nd chance and they were even worse this time around.

The service advisor told me after about 15 minutes of looking at the vehicle that I had a cracked intake manifold and that it was going to cost almost $1900 to have it fixed. When I told them that I was going to get a second opinon, they were very rude about it. They told me that I owed them almost $500 to replace a freeze plug, which I didn't authorize them to do. I paid them the money and after having to sign a document saying that I wasn't going to hold them liable for anything once I drove the vehicle off the lot since I was declining to have them complete the work, I drove the vehicle back to Grants Pass where we live and took it to another mechanic that we've had work on our vehicles before and have always had good luck with. He checked it out and it was nothing more than a leak in a hose that was dripping fluid onto one of the spark plugs, causing it to misfire. Only cost me $27 to have it fixed.
