My nanme is Michelle and I am a former customer of CRE Credit Services, in Plano, Texas.  They charged me almost $1600 for credit repair and never delivered what they had promised.  When I tried to get my money refunded to me, they wouldn't take my phone calls or return my emails.  I had to get my credit card company involved to dispute the charges.  I won the dispute and finally got my monery back from CRE Credit Servoces.  SIMON WEBSETER is a COWARD and a SCUMBAG.  I dealt with Joe Camacho and he is a real piece of work.  Never USE CRE CREDIT SERVICES!! They will rip YOU OFF!!!

First of congratulations on your success with your own credit report! However, I think you may be very misinformation about the industry and in particular our company.  Of course, there are scams out there in almost every industry, however of course that doens't mean all or even most companies out there are scams. You can absolutely dispute items on your own credit report just as you can do pretty much anything in life that you pay a service for. However, most of those things are not near as important as your credit and although it sounds like you had some success most people do not have that success.  In fact, if you have seen many of the recent stories about errors on credit reports and the difficulty consumers are having correcting them with the credit reporting agencies then you would know this is a huge problem in the country.  Additionally, you would be correct in that most companies are just simply doing something  that an individual can find a simple "form letter" for. However, again these are rarely successful and many consumers have found how difficult it is dealing with the very powerful credit reporting agencies and their clients the creditors and collection companies. The co-owner and COO of our company is a former member of Experian's legal and compliance department and has knowledge of the policies and procedures of the credit reporting agencies which most definitely is knowledge that is very useful to our clients and is not something you find in an "online form letter". This is why our correction/deletion percentage is much higher than any other companies out there.  It is not just about going after the credit reporting agencies, but also the creditors or collection companies as well.  Knowing the laws in these situation and how to keep the creditors accountable for them is another very difficult thing to do.  Many times an item could remain on file on a credit report due to an error with a creditor or collection company that was "validated" with the credit reporting agency. If you would like to discuss in more detail I could tell you much more everything that happens with the credit reporting agencies and the data furnishers and how our program is different.  Our results speak for themselves and our reputation with thousands of mortgage companies, fortune 500 companies, and major universities speaks of our reputation.  Again, you were correct that many credit repair companies out there do not know simple things about credit and have taken peoples money. There are companies that have taken people's money and then went out of business.  However, both myself and co-owner James Charlet are very active in NACSO (National Association of Credit Services Organizations) and are very much trying to regulate the industry so we keep those types of companies out.  In fact, James Charlet is head of credit education and governmental affairs for NACSO.  In addition, we have actually represented the entire industry multiple times to the FTC, the CFPB, and many congressional members and staffers.  We are certainly not one of these companies you are referring to in your post. THE CFPB actually consulted with us on credit reporting agencies and collection companies. Additionally, if you do find a credit repair company who is not doing things the right way you would not go to the CFPB to complain as they do not regulate credit repair companies.  You would go to the FTC which we are working with directly with on behalf of NACSO to promote regulation and compliance in our industry. I can assure you our company is very much compliant and we offer the best money back guarantee in the industry. I am not sure why you have such an opinion other than your friend working with some company which it sounds like was possibly not doing things the right way, but again that doesn't mean everyone in the industry does business that way.  This is a much needed industry and a much needed service for millions of individuals across the country and we offer a completely free consultation and certainly do not beg folks to sign up.  Most of our clients are referrals and make the decision to utilize our services after having done research and are aware of our reputation.  If you would like more information or have any other question i urge you to contact me directly and I would be happy to discuss further with you. Thanks for your time.

Unfortunately, there is no verification of these complaints. Please refer to the previous complaints that were made by a former employee of CRE.  My name is Simon Webster and I am the CEO. We do not have a client named Michelle in Plano nor do have any client named Michelle who has ever contested any charges with our company. Our company has a proven reputation of being the best credit repair and education firm in the country with over 10,000 happy clients. I have never spoken to any client named Michelle either, however I was named in the compliant again this is a former employee of the company.  I encourage any client to contact us if they ever have any issues, although rare if it does happen I can assure you we will take care of you.  As well we have the best money back guarantee in the industry as well as we have proven to have the best results in the industry as well.  I always recommend you do your research when choosing a credit repair company, but if choose our company I can assure you that you will have a good experience with CRE.    We have thousands of mortgage and real estate professionals who have done their research and send us their clients to help them secure a home loan.  If you have any questions or concerns don't hesitate to contact us or me directly at anytime.

Yes These Places Are Scams. All Credit Repair You Can Do Yourself

I've personally had over $7,000 worth of collections removed off of my credit report. This is not rocket science and don't believe it when people say it is. They have no more special abilities than you. It's like that business that charges people to do address changes online when a person can simply go to the post office and do it themselves. I once paid a guy to change a light bulb in my car $15.00. Imagine my surprise when the light simply popped in. Nothing to it. Just like the one at home. Unbelievable he would even charge me for that.

STUPIDITY IS EXPENSIVE.

But looking on the bright side there is no sense like BOUGHT SENSE.

And yes these companies are RIPOFFS. Especially here in Texas. They are always being busted by the Feds, the media, for deceptive practices.

My friend got hired at one. She had no experience in anything. They started her at $8 an hour and I guess they needed "SUCKERS" oops.. "CUSTOMERS" so bad that she was literally begging folks to sign up. THIS WAS A WOMAN HERSELF WITH BAD CREDIT!!!!! She tried to pressure ME to sign up with them and I knew more about credit than she did!

Go to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau's website. I just had another item removed from my credit report a week ago (equifax sent me the confirmation) after I complained to them that Equifax was allowing the businesses to have far over the 30 days to respond. Equifax simply removed it. Flat.

The short name for it is CFPB. It was created by the Obama Administration but it has more power than the FEDS. It is VERY POWREFUL which is why the Republicans kept trying to stop it from being created. They have ENFORCEMENT mechanisms against Debt collectors, Credit Bureaus, Mortgage Companies, Banks, and a whole host of other companies. They can sanction, fine, bring lawsuits (They just brought a massive lawsuit against Citibank and Wellsfargo for deceptive credit cards fees in the Billions) and these folks FIGHT. I do tell you. They get right on it and send certified letters to the company.

You can file an online complaint with them. Takes about five minutes. They would really like to hear about this CCE company.

Last, these folks don't care. They start these shady companies and make a quick million and then shut them down before they are sued when their complaints start increasing. These are pop up companies.  Texas is full of them too. They are only in it to scam folks really quickly and then they are gone. Like the wind.
