I received a call from a man named Gary Nixon affiliated with this company promising to sell my timeshare. Because I have been contacted by multiple similar companies, I had very little confidence in Mr. Nixon's promises. I asked him repeatedly if the up front fee was refundable if the property did not sell within a certain period of time. Mr. Nixon said that it was and the applicable time period was 120 days. Mr. Nixon also said that the fee would be repaid upon sale of the property. I also asked Mr. Nixon point blank if the contract contained any language about the fee being non-refundable. He said it did not. Yet, he refused to even send me an email with those basic terms let alone a draft version of the contract. He kept asking me to give him 1% trust and to stop giving him a "black eye" for something other companies had done. Well, I received the contract and it contained the typical timeshare resale language. All of the untrustworty companies have contracts stating that "Company assumes the property will sell in x-number of days or it will renew the contract at no additional cost and continue to try to sell." The contracts go on to say that "if you or another company sells the property within 20% of the original asking price, then you will receive a full refund upon on proof of sale." This is not a guarantee to sell your property. This is merely a promise to try for as long as it takes (even if that means the rest of your life). But, with the assurance that if you manage to find someone who will actually sell it, then you get your money back. Why pay a company to do what you can do yourself for free?

I'm sure CVS will respond to this report as well and again claim that no such representations about refunds were made to me, but I can assure every reader, that Mr. Nixon did make these representations to me verbally despite any response that CVS may subsequently post. I obviously did not and will not sign the contract and urge every reader to avoid doing business with this or any other company that will not give you a real money-back guarantee or allow you to review the written contract before agreeing to pay them any fee. If you want to sell your timeshare and don't mind paying an upfront fee, then try Vacation Sales and Marketing. While that company failed to actually sell my timeshare, it did have an honor its 180 day money back guarantee.
